CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is there anyone here using one of the "new" USB flash drives like the SanDisk Cruzer Mini ?

What type of apps do you/would you run from it? It got me wondering... I know that you can run a password manager program like Password Agent from it. What other apps do you or would you run from one? Like :

email client

web browser

html editor

text editor

I'd appreciate whatever ingenious\original ideas that anyone might suggest... looking for ideas...

It's my understanding that they arn't really for running apps *from*. Just trasporting data. But once it's connected you can treat it as a local disk. I'd probably only run self executables from it.

Initially, I was looking for a portable email client that I could take to work with me, don't like webmail... Mr Google found PocoMail PE for me, it looks very promising.


also found a different\better? password mgr - Password Manager XP - Secure Password Keeper. So between the two, oughta be able to "safely" do what I want...

This all just got me wondering what else is possible ???

I use my sandisk mini cruzer to transfer files from home to church, mostly powerpoint presentations and I love it.....I also have used it for my e-mail....I can install Eudora onto it and then be able to open it anywhere, but I switched my mail back to zip disk because it's easier for me to get to the zip drive than get behind the computers. I haven't used any password stuff on my cruzer, it's not like I have anything important on it.

I use alot of different computers besides the one's at home....I'm so lazy that at home I plug my cruzer into one computer and access it over my network, all so I don't have to reach behind
