Just cos it says in the Bible we shouldn't eat split-hooved animals who do not chew the cud. See Deuteronemy or Leviticus.

I am familiar with the scripture you mentioned. In the new testament we are taught that all food is clean. I know some of our brothers disagree on this though.

I eat pork, and tapero is right. We're told that whether we eat something or not, to do it for the glory of God.

Some say this was about the gentiles Peter would speak to after, but I say God meant what He said. We are under Grace, not Law. Yeshuas' sacrifice fulfilled the Law.

We aren't under Old Testament dietary laws. We're under grace, although moral laws still apply. So, yeah, I've eaten pork. Don't really care for it as much as beef or chicken.

count me on this. Peter gagged over "unclean" and the Lord said not to call it unclean. good enough for him good enough for me.

count chicken in for eating their own fecal matter. they take recycling too far in my opinion. if you think about it enough all food can seem disgusting. even vegetables grow in manure. The Lord provides. I ask Him to bless it and then I eat it. It's not what goes in that makes us unclean, it's what comes out. Isn't that what Scripture says? The rest sounds wonderful about all this new age health and ethics in dietary issues but it all feels like relying on human wisdom or distractions from the enemy to me. The Lord will show you His will for you.

Hm what is the problem of eating Pork?? I seldom take Beef, probably before i became a Christian, my mum does not allow me taking Beef at home coz Buddhist don't take Beef!! I think only the Muslim and Jew don't take Pork rite!!

Acts 15 liberates us from quite a bit of the OT law, and that includes most of the dietary restrictions.

Actually pork these days is safer than beef thanks to regulations. You can get lean pork like center cut pork chops and tenderloins and then you are eating healthier than most beef all around! Strange how the times change.

I eat pork, but my mother is of a Messianic Jewish persuaision, and thus does not. I personally don't believe that the dietary laws of the Old Testament apply to a day of Grace, but I respect both views.
