We were given dominion. And then lost that dominion. Then Christ came and took dominion back and gave it to the believers. Dominion means responsibility to take care of things, not iron-fist mastery.

I also think it is a great speech since it is already getting even more people to realize that the church is a detriment to society.

Or not as is the case. Society is like the alcoholic who cant see they are drunk and gets angry with those who point the truth out. HIV and STD's are a at a record level and higher in proportion amongst the homosexual population yet society wont admit it and dont want the teaching that would eliviate it.
It is expected that more people will shop on the internet this Christmas day than attend church, yet with the financial debt and mess one would have thought such pouring oil on the fire was obviulsy not the thing to do.

5) Is it? I'd say after the latest round of voting that's not entirely true. Even in a Godless nation like the United States. If memory serves gays are batting 0 having lost 3 of the 3 votes this past November.

There seems to be an element of people playing god here. The Bilical testimony says same sex union is error, where there is greed as well doesnt change what god has said about same sex union and how it is obvuously against His creation purposes.

As to Leviticus passages, remember that Christ fulfilled the OT law in various ways, His disciples live by the Holy Spirit not the law.

I'm not in the habit of reading for other people. If you want to see it for yourself start with the new testament, read it 3 or 4 times then start in on the OT. It will become clear. Just like it does for everyone else. I had to do the same thing.

Actually that's common "justification" for that scripture. Not mine alone. I was also trying to avoid being overly religious because it would be over many people's heads if I started talking to much about being Israel being cut, and set entirely apart (holy) and how dietary laws were an important part of this process.

The Biblical testimony of God is clear. There are a number of passages which state that God created male and female for the reason they shall be united. Gen 2, Matt 19, Mark 10, Eph 5, and that celibacy is the alternative Matt 19, 1 Cor 7, and that same sex unions are error, Gen 19, Lev 18, Lev 20, 1 Cor 6, 1 Tim 1, Romans 1.

If some which to dispute all this I suggest those of us who believe it let you get on with it and share your disbelief.

Condoms will break, but I can assure you that vows of abstinence will break more easily than condoms.

Back in high school, several students took vows of abstinence. One of them won a scholarship which was promptly revoked when she graduated while several months pregnant.

I am open to abstinence, but I'm willing to face the reality that not everyone is going to remain abstinent.
