Just saw this brief video by gutsick Gibbon on polystrate fossils, it had me laughing a bit and seemed to be a worthwhile share.

There must be bias involved in her glee and excitement. She explains that upright trees can be buried quickly. Creationists also say that. So there is no debunking of any kind in this video.

Trees can be buried in place quickly, or they can float on flood waters then sink as often happens in a river. The lady makes no case for anything.

In Colorado, polystrate palm fronds have been found.
Elsewhere, a medium-sized polystrate dino fossil was found.

More interesting is that several years ago, the National Geographic wrote an article on a fossilized giant sloth footprint with a human footprint superimposed on it. The human was apparently hunting the sloth. Both footprints were fossilized and had turned into solid rock.

That's right, a human footprint fossilized - turned into solid rock.

Homo erectus and other hominid species lived along side giant sloths for millions of years. So it isn't unreasonable that we might find hominid foot prints in or around giant sloth footprints.

There are polystrate fossils forming near where I live. A forest that was flooded by a dam decades ago, are being slowly buried a few inches a year, while the upright trunks remain in place. If things go right, in millions of years, we will have polystrate fossils there. No scientist is puzzled by that.

Why does that surprise you?
