CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am an orthodox, evangelical, catholic, conservative Christian confessing the faith as a Lutheran according to The Confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church (which is NOT a denomination), who is presently a "member" of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LC-MS) [yes, the hyphen is part of the name].
I also teach at a Bible College that comes out of an independent charismatic New Apostolic Reformation heritage.

non-denominational. currently going to a southern baptist church. i went to a baptist elementary school and went to a charismatic church when i was younger, makes for some interesting theological beliefs.

same situation here, as mentioned in my above post. i hold fast to alot of the southern baptist theology. but unlike my southern baptist church, i believe that supernatual displays of God's power still take place (i don't know about other southern baptist churchs), and i would disagree with my church's overall approach towards discipleship. i'm still unsure about the whole speaking in tongues thing.

I'm a Christian who attends an ELCA Lutheran church. I agree with all of the doctrines of the ELCA, but sometimes I think that "saved by grace through faith" gets warped into "saved by grace through intellectual acceptance." My two cents
