What are y'alls thoughts about this poll conducted by The Heartland Institute/Rasmussen.

I'm wondering if, in a similarly developed poll, how many would admit to killing their next door neighbors. I'm gonna guess that at least 5% would say they did. WAY more than the actual murder rate.

IF the 20% election fraud numbers are accurate, a big if, elections can no longer be trusted. Couldn't really be trusted if it was one in 50, because even if they could each only push the election by one vote per crooked voter, most elections are closer than that.

I want to see some real scrutiny of this poll. If it holds up we may as well have government by coup.

Get real. Anyone who would tell a stranger on the phone that he committed voter fraud because the COVID pandemic made it "easier" is a few cards short of a deck.

It sounds like an invented story to me.

I had to search for it but found it here. One interesting point in the poll, of those that say they cheated: "19% of Republicans, 16% of Democrats and 17% of unaffiliated voters who cast 2020 mail-in ballots say they signed a ballot or ballot envelope on behalf of a friend or family member. On the question of voting in a state where they were no longer a permanent resident. more Republican mail-in voters (24%) than Democrats (17%) or unaffiliated voters (11%) admitted doing so." So, if we are to believe this poll, then Biden still would have allegedly won since more Republicans cheated.

Of course, the flip side of this is, just because people allegedly tried to do this, there is no indication that these votes were accepted as valid votes, or if they were rejected due to signature not matching or other issues. For example, in Georgia (one the states where "fraud" has been claimed, such as people voting from out of state), the Georgia Bureau of Investigation did an audit of a percentage of ballots. In their investigation, the examined 15,000 ballot envelopes to ensure the signatures matched and, while they found a couple that they felt did not match the signature on file, they also contacted the voter listed on the envelope who verified they had signed the envelope. This would make it appear, at least in Georgia, that any fraudulent ballots received were unlikely to have been counted.

Rasmussen is known for their partisan framing and bias. Respected is not an appellation I would apply to them.

When I tried the link in the Examiner article, it went to a dead page at Rasmussen and not the poll. I assume it was the same for others here. Again, I found it after a bit of searching on the Rasmussen site.

The only people who find Rasmusses "well respected" would be people who find that Rasmussen "frequently" confirms their bias.

Do that many people change their state of residence? If 1 voter in 4 does that then 96% of all Republicans that had the chance voted in a state where they were no longer a resident!

And why would someone sign a ballot for a family member or friend? That makes no sense. Mailing or dropping it in a drop box (which is a technical violation in many states) does make some sense. Especially in some areas where the nearest drop bx may be an hour's drive away.

Drilling down using the link you provided, here is the question about voting in a state where you are not a permanent resident.

Do you know a friend, family member, co-worker, or other acquaintance who has admitted to you that he or she cast a mail-in ballot in 2020 in a state other than his or her state of permanent residence?

Note how the question is wildly different from the claim made. The actual question is do you know anyone who did this, not did you do it! Perhaps even more important it opens the door for someone who does not understand the law to make a false conclusion. E.g. any student can legally choose either their state of residence before going away to school or the state their school is in. There are other similar situations.
