Your ‘samplings’ contain intellectual dishonesty.

Take the Churchillian example...he wrote those words before the turn of the century in 1897. Would it surprise you that his attitude towards Islam and Moslems evolved markedly as he grew and matured?

The laws in the UK have been pushed too far at times, but they still beat the hell out of a system that allows people to scream at grieving parents at their children’s funeral that ‘God hates them’ without repercussion.

The way some Americans talk about free speech as if it was a binary thing is childish and ridiculous. EVERY country on earth now and for all human history have imposed limitations on free speech, and the US is no different. If you want to set your particular free speech line in a way that allows abject cruelty and barbarism, then just do it and stop pretending you’re morally superior for it.

Just BTW, all speech is NOT allowed in the US. There are many kinds of speech than can be curtailed. It is NOT legal to shout "fire' in a crowded building.

I’d say that using a statistic to claim that all black peoples are like that is just bias . We have different cultures. West Indians don’t act like Americans. Black Southerners have more in common with white southerners than they do with Black northerners . Hate speech laws, political correctness, and the other novel idea's out there are simply attempts to control speech, by controlling language.

How about people grow thick skin, and just let it roll off their back. One person says whatever they want, and the other person says whatever they want.

If adults can't take that, then we have lost our way. When I was young, and during my military career, we solved our issues man to man, and didn't run off and call the cops , or, try to sue the other person, you either prevailed, or, you licked your wounds.

Perhaps we should return to that.
