For everyone who claims Trump has acted against the media, can you point to one single thing he has done to actually limit free press? Moreso than Obama, who had journos arrested.

I think your complaints of Trump are disingenuous projections manifest from your own anti-press agenda, an ignorance of recent history and T.D.S.

You're asking two different questions here...as well as misrepresenting another.

"acted against the media" and "proceeded with action to actually limit free press" are two different things.

Also, you'll notice I said "people trying to limit the press" when the media has been critical of Trump, I didn't say anything about the actions of Donny, himself, but if you want to go there, I'll play along...

As far as Trump acting against & attacking the media, that's an easy one.
He's forced members of his staff (all the way down to interns) to sign non-disclosure agreements so they wouldn't talk to the press.

He's threatened to open libel lawsuits against press entities that have been critical of him

Blacklisted media outlets from campaign events

Also this:
upload_2019-10-27_12-29-6.png

(which is a thinly veiled threat to media sources to imply that the FCC should yank their license if their reporting isn't to his liking)

As far as the 2nd part I mentioned about "people trying to limit and silence the press", that's also an easy one to substantiate.

Americans' Views on the Media

All told, 43 percent of self-identified Republicans said that they believed “the president should have the authority to close news outlets.” Only 36 percent disagreed with that statement. When asked if Trump should close down specific outlets, including CNN, The Washington Post, and The New York Times, nearly a quarter of Republicans (23 percent) agreed.

Care to take a stab at the other part of my statement, pertaining to conservatives thinking the 1st Amendment "goes too far" when it prevents public schools and state entities from endorsing Christianity?

Of course it goes too far.

Everyone here, and I mean every single person, agrees that congress (or the states) should make some laws abridging the freedom of speech, contrary to what 1A says.

I'm sure, given 30 seconds or so, you can think of a few legit examples of abridgment that youd agree with..

You literally have mandated homosexuality in the U.K., but tell us more how you're still, "free".
That’s why Elton John is gay? Brexit will fix that!

Back in the day, people said whatever they wanted to in America, someone told you something, and you could tell them something in return.

Everyone had thick skin...that's equality, IMHO!
Tell that to Black people in the first half of the 20th century.

The current laws abridging speech have been properly set for decades now and should not be changed any further. That's the general position of 1A advocates.

Hate speech is a death blow to free speech, and will not be tolerated by the most well armed demographic within the most well armed nation on Earth. We will not be jailed and persecuted for our speech, no matter how you hate it. This is non-negotiable.

You all joke because you can't address the issue because you know you're wrong.

Hate speech is talking about anything the Left does not like...particularly if it's the truth. Hate speech, like all forms of political correctness, seems to control speech by controlling language.

"I WILL NOT COMPLY" the truth is the truth, and when it has to be said, it has to be said. The left hated this, so it will always be hate speech.

Having read the articles, it appears that police are investigating it as a "hate crime" because it was reported as such - and potentially because of the language used by the photographer.
A spokeswoman for Humberside Police said: "We received a report of a hate incident yesterday, on Wednesday, October 16. The report has been logged and will be investigated."
I would say that there is zero chance that he is charged with a hate crime for refusing to have sex with a trans woman.

Weird how you went immediately to complaining about how you're not allowed to talk about how black's are statistically inferior to whites.

SUPER WEIRD. Isn't it?

Different people have different priorities.

Today though, racists, want full access to privately run multinational platforms for their hatred without question.

Well if they’ll remove a child from your home for verbal abuse and it’s also caused marriages to fail , I absolutely think hate speech should be made illegal . It harms people and encourages others to cause more harm
The trouble with that is what is hate speech? If someone calls me a B for example is that hate speech? If someone says that a particular group is racist is that hate speech? If someone says he or she disagrees with a particular group's views is that hate speech? It is too broad to be acceptable.

I cannot believe that he has been president for 3 years and you still have not figured out how Trump works. I'll give you a tl;dr.
Trump could get seen as a hero?- takes all or as much credit as possible. Does minimal amount of work to accomplish it.
Trump could be seen as a villain- ships work out to others.
He didn't have to do anything to the press. He yelled out two words once and his uncritical base picked up the drum. He has discredited all news sources, for his base. He didn't need to pull legal ninjitsu, he just suggested something and his followers jump on.
Sad reflection.

You all joke because you can't address the issue because you know you're wrong.
no. They joke because you toss the word " literally" around like a tween and may not have a great idea of what mandate means.
If you "literally" meant what you said your post is a joke. If you used some wrong terms then that's something else

honestly, my favourite thing in the internet is when people get self righteous with "the truth".

It's so quaint.

The left hate hate. The right tolerates hate. The extremes of the left and right are based on hate. The extreme left dont see hypocrisy in hating hate and using violence to surprises it; the extreme right doesn't care about anything but hating their target.

And yet, if you criticize Donald...

...and you're a journalist, You're an enemy of the American people.

...and you're a Republican, You're scum.

...and you're a Democrat, You're a target

"I WILL NOT COMPLY" the truth is the truth, and when it has to be said, it has to be said. The left hated this, so it will always be hate speech.

"I will not comply" is more than a statement, it can be a declaration of intent to break the law.

"I will put a bullet in Nancy Pelosi's head" is a similar declaration... and it, too, is quite illegal.

Considering the penalties for dissent, can you blame them for being afraid to not jump on?

I love it when the crowd who dehumanizes everyone they disagree as nazis whine about bombastic language. Leftist reap what they sow with their radical divisive ID politics, and they will continue to do so in their hysterical & pathological projection of their own shame and neurosis onto those they disagree with.
