Alright CF Singles, who plays Pokémon games? Collects cards? Watches the shows? Anyone else excited for the new games coming out?

I've been a Pokemon fan since gen 1. I'm pretty excited for scarlet and violet although I don't know which one I'm going to pick! My brother bought me like 150 pokemon cards recently and that was cool, even though I don't k ow how to play the card game haha.

I used to play the first few pokemon games, but somehow the newer games always were to easy for me.
Yes, I know they're kids games.
Yes, I know about nuzlocke.
But in the end, its always the same game, just a bit bigger.
I found other games that excite me more.

Loved playing the original Gameboy games back in the day. Recently played Pokemon Yellow on my 3DS several years back. Was fun.. but have too many other games to play to really focus on that series. Plus.. I don't care about these new Pokemon..

I remember when I was a kid many adults told me that Pokémon was just another fad that was quickly going to fade away like all the others.. they were wrong about that.. lol. > _ >

I never played the game, I just thought the cartoon series was light hearted and silly enough and the battles were interesting enough to keep interest. Unlike some series that run out of decent stories and plots, even though a lot of the time pokemon was predictable the scenery and characters and pokemon changed enough to not get monotonous.
