  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Not into cloth diapers
Into natural family planning
Breastfeed exclusively for 6 months and wean at the child's lead. Into tandum nursing.

haha i still have the lowest score...let's see why:
wont consider homebirths
i dont have a son, but if i have one i will circumsize
wont consider cloth diapers
im not into NFP and such things
i couldn't really answer #5 because i didnt not breastfeed because i didnt want to, i was too grogy to try at the hospital and when i tried she wouldn't latch on
wont consider co sleeping
wont consider a sling
i would think about child led weaning, but i learn more towards starting to wean emily off the bottle at 1 year
i wouldnt consider breastfeeding while pregnant because i dont want my children to be that close together
im not into that whole grain, healthy all the time stuff
not into herbal things either
wont consider home-schooling
my child will be vaccinated on schedual
i would never breastfeed someone else's child
i wont use reusable products for myself
i will spank when necessary, but it wont be the only form of punishment

Just so you know this is not at all the same as weaning a breastfed baby. A formula baby should be off the formula at one year.

And why would you not consider a sling?

Even if you switch you toddler formula instead of milk, they should still be off the actual bottle as close to a year as possible. I was wondering about the sling also, do you use a front pack? It isn't that much different, except the sling is WAY more comfy!

they just look uncomfortable to me, the baby is just hanging there...id rather hold her myself or have her in a stoller...and i didnt mean just formula, i meant a bottle no matter what the contents. if i had breastfed i was going to wean her at like 6 months, i dont like the idea of having a 2 year old attatched to my breast, i have nothing against women who do it, its just a personal preferance of mine.

Crystal, I think we answered mostly the same things!! I didn't breastfeed (tried, but she didn't latch on right away and to be perfectly honest I enjoyed the convenience of bottles and formula)...I had no desire to try a sling, never thought about it....no way to co-sleeping....we spank depending on her "offense"....etc etc etc

Good quiz, Leanna!

I only had one question I answered 0 on (the breastfeeding another person's child question). I lost points on not being sure if I'm going to homeschool (we're going to do Montessori or homeschool), going to a regular doctor (although we use herbal remedies also) and only thinking about delaying vaccines. I also didn't know what to put for child-led weaning because although I think it sounds like a good idea, Natalie and I have had problems off and on (every time she gets a tooth especially, which is often!) so I'm thinking I would like her to be weaned pretty soon. If we didn't have those problems I would be fine with child-led weaning and tandem nursing.
