[the hidden light]

the cool sence of darkness is in the air
it tears down hopes and causes despair
most children are afraid
of its silent parade
your hairs stand on end
it is no ones friend
it causes terror all around
from the sky to the ground
darkness is gone the sun comes out
i'm so happy i begin to shout.

I like it, too. Very nice. Especially for a beginner.


You know what they say? Writing is like body building ... you don't get big muscles unless you lift weights. The same is true for writing ... you have to keep writing in order to build up your own style and brain muscles!

Another thing most writers do is to keep journals. This site offers that. It's a place to sit and write daily and express yourself so you can keep the words and ideas flowing from your fingertips. Might I suggest you start a journal here?

Ever see that movie "Harriet The Spy?" She wanted to be a writer when she grew up and the whole movie is based on her journal entries and what happens when they're read by other people. The bottom line is, she kept a journal. You should too. Just remember that the journal on this site is public. No personal information should be posted since you're only 13. Okay?
