CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Great series!
We've discussed Fr. Seraphim's podcasts on here before. Have you listened to the ones on Confession? The ones on prayer ARE very good, but I think those are even better.
He's one of my favorite podcasters. I usually listen to his at least 3x to get all I can out of them. He's also pretty insightful and good at answering email, though I know he's terribly busy with fundraising for the monastery, working on the Church, and right now leading a pilgrimage group. I've had one or two difficult questions on prayer that weren't finding answers elsewhere, and he doesn't mind telling it like it is. I've felt chastised a bit, but very grateful for it. I only wish I knew him well in person, instead of just through FB and email.
I don't think he wants the job, but if he ever becomes an Abbott, I think he will be a good one.

Yes, I have listened to all of them. I enjoy his insights. I would love to see the monastery in Scotland when it is finished.
