CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Father, it's hard to imagine what it must be like to be 6 years old, alone in the world and in solitary confinement in a place you don't know... Please be with Kolton, please lord, send someone who he can relate to and feel cared for by.. please let him know your love, calm his fear and his anger, bring him through this unscathed and healthy in body mind and spirit.

Kolton had an incident today in which he tried to "assault" one of the officers at the facility. They came in to release him for shower time and he swung at one of them and told them he would only take a bath, not a shower. But of course you can't take a bath at a dentention center. When are they going to realize he's too YOUNG to be there??? I really hope they don't try to charge him w/assault.

Hey I forgot to say yesterday..........thanks everyone for still caring about this. I don't feel like any of this praying over the last 2 and some odd years has done a bit of good really but I guess just to know people care........thanks guys.

Sometimes (and I know this sounds pretty lame to someone in the midst of a struggle (it sometimes even sounds lame when saying it)) we have to put it in God's hands and leave it there, trusting that He knows what he's doing. Often we want to be in on the planning, we want to know how it's going to turn out, but only God knows, and sometime down the line, we are finally released from the struggle and see God's hand moving even when we felt all alone. But God hears the prayers of the faithful, so I don't believe it's in vain.
Still praying. And yes, still caring.

I will continue to pray for these children. It's heartbreaking to think of Kolton at his age, being in a detention center.
