  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I guess they are trying to move Kolten to the west texas boys ranch. They are waiting for the application to go through but they might not accept him. I don't know about that kind of place so I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing. I'll be praying for God's will. I am also praying for the girls, that their adoption stuff will get sorted out soon and they will be happy and loved. Also for the rest of the family and close friends especially Jen's dad Ron and her sister Ashley.

Bumping this so it stays near the top...and praying, of course.

I am terribly sad about this. I thought that a family member would be able to take them and keep them together. :(

Keeping them all, and this whole situation, in my prayers.

Yes it is sad. I don't know a whole lot but I think the girls are staying together and are in the process of being adopted by family. Koltons adoption was supposed to be final today (the 22nd) by the family that took him in while Jen was going through all her stuff. There was a reason they weren't being adopted together but nobody has said why. But since his mom's death Kolton has been more and more unruley and violant. Nobody can control him. He has tried to stab people, he hits and kicks and yells at everyone. He said he was going to murder the family who was going to adopt him's 1 year old son. I don't know if you guys remember hearing this but after his dad died he stabbed his grandparents' dog to death. He's got a lot of anger inside of him and its obvious he can and will hurt people. Its sad but he will probably have these kind of problems his whole life unless he gets some kind of serious help. The family doesn't want to lock him in an institution for his whole life so they are trying to send him to the boys ranch where hopefully he can live in a different enviroment and learn to deal with whatever's going on. I looked it up and I guess it's not really an orphanage but a place for boys 6-17 years old who can't really function in normal society because of behavior and other problems.....and it says its a christian-based community. So yes its sad but maybe its the best or only option for Kolton. Otherwise what would happen if his family members tried to adopt him and he ended up murdering somebody? I wish he knew how to handle this better but who can really blame the kid? I just feel bad. If Tim could only see what was happening he would be torn apart. Who would think it would ever turn out this way :(

Well. Time to pray for today. I am praying that something is figured out soon about what to do with Kolton. I pray that wherever he ends up that he feels loved and wanted and that he learns a way to deal with the pain other than all the anger. Right now he probably feels like its him against the world and thats gotta be overwhelming for a 6 year old kid. I pray that people won't criticize the family for the decisions they are having to make regarding the kids. We all don't know everything that has gone on and all of the circumstances. It may look bad like they just don't care, but I'm sure they are very hurt from all of this....especially what they are having to do regarding kolton. And of course I am praying for the girls too. I just want peace and happiness for them. They may be the only ones that have a chance.

For the last 2 years many of you have been praying for the Love family from Texas. Tim was a master sergeant in the Marine Corps and severely wounded in Iraq and then eventually passed away August 2008 after a very long time in the hospital. He left behind his wife Jen and their kids Kolton, Jaylie and Emma. After he died it was like one bad thing happened after another, and now just this Tuesday morning Jen comitted suicide. Well there's already a prayer thread for them but I think once a thread gets too many replies people start skipping over it, so a lot of people might not realize the latest of what's happened. So I wanted to start this thread so that more people would know to pray for the kids. Kolton is 6 and the twins Jaylie and Emma are almost 3. And now they are orphans. Kolton has still not recovered from losing his dad and now that his mom is gone too I can't even imagine what he's going thru. So I hope people will just pray for them as much as they can. I'm worried for their future and I want them to have a good life. Thanks.

How horribly sad. May God bless these precious little ones' lives and bring comfort to them in this darkness. I just lost my husband to cancer last year, and knowing how hard it is, I can't even imagine if I had lost him in this way. How heartbreaking. God bless our young war widows and give them the strength to carry on. I pray for this young woman's soul, that she is now at peace, with our Lord and her precious husband. These children will be in my prayers daily. As a citizen of this wonderful country, I feel so grateful to this family for their sacrifice. I wish there were more I could do.

Heard they accepted him at the ranch. I'm praying it works out and there will be people there that can help and be family to him. Have a good weekend guys.

What is the ranch, BBRP?

I don't want anyone to think that I was judging anyone. I know that Tim and Jen's family have been through almost as much as they have, and that they care immensely. I was just hoping that it would have been possible for the kids to go to a family member.

Praying.
