CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just got home from the beach hangin out with my wife and little girl for the weekend. The kids crossed my mind so much bc I knew that while so many people were out having fun for the Father's Day, they were sitting there broken hearted. It sounds like the girls are starting to have a hard time as they grow and realize things that they were oblivous to before. On the memorial page it said that they were feeling really sad bc all the little girls at church were going to the daddy / daughter dance but they didn't have their daddy to go with. And with Kolton they don't know what's going to happen to him bc he is so angry and violant. The couple who was supposed to adopt him on the 22nd pulled out and nobody has stepped up to take him. I am praying for him and for the girls and I hope that this week is a little better week for all of them. I want them to be able to feel our prayers and how much everyone cares and loves them.

Lord, please, please comfort these little ones, be the Father that they need, please let them know that they are loved. Lord, send people to care for Kolton who will understand his pain and frustration, and help him to work through the anger and despair. Give him the security of unconditional love, Lord, and help him to come to terms with all that has happened. Father, please, give him some joy in his life, let him be a child, let him know how precious he is.
Hold all three children tightly, Lord, let them know Your presence in their grief, Your love in their loneliness. Bless them, Father, please...

This tore my heart to shreds. I know that the Lord is grieved in His Spirit for these children as well. His love for them even surpasses all of ours, because He is love. My prayers for these little ones are this: While terrible acts cause tremendous pain and have consequences, God has the power to turn things around for the good. This is shown to us in Genesis chapters 37 through 45. My heart goes out to them and I will keep them in my prayers.

I guess they are trying to move Kolten to the west texas boys ranch. They are waiting for the application to go through but they might not accept him. I don't know about that kind of place so I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing. I'll be praying for God's will. I am also praying for the girls, that their adoption stuff will get sorted out soon and they will be happy and loved. Also for the rest of the family and close friends especially Jen's dad Ron and her sister Ashley.
