plants eat their food in liquid form thru their roots. Animals have to digest their food to make it into a liquid . Plants for the most part don’t have to do that. Carnivorous plants do use digestive enzymes as they don’t have roots that work well to take in nutrients

Light was the first order of creation. Plants don't need the sun (per se'), but rather LIGHT. I can grow plants inside of my home with man-made light devices.

But tell us ... WHY is it good for us to know why does God create plants before He creates the suns.

Jesus is the Light of the first Day. Genesis 1:3 He is the beginning of God's creation. Rev 3:14 Jesus is also the Light of the 3rd Heaven. Rev 21:23 Jesus blinded Saul on the road to Damascus with His glory or brightness. Act 22:6 Many people saw Jesus in the O.T. Here is what Ezekiel saw:

Why? Good question.
A good Christian does not need to know WHY does God do this or that.
But a BETTER Christian does. The more you know WHY, the more God will love you.

I'ld ask you to take a small step back and reflect on this entire conversation... The mental gymnastics you need to engage in to try and maintain a somewhat sensible worldview build on the foundation of your fundamentalist religious beliefs in relation with observable reality.
