Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Paul discusses different types of FLESH in 1 Corinthians 15

39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds ...

ALL of these have BLOOD ...

Plants are not FLESH, therefore have no BLOOD, yet are alive ...

This is only physicall flesh
There is also flesh like Jesus has without blood 1 Corinthians 15:50 and Luke 24:39
Jesus's flesh could walk through doors which were locked for example .

. Do you know what dormant means . If you took a Romance language the root dorm- means to sleep. The seed has temporarily shut down to avoid growing under bad environmental conditions. Winter cold or a lack of water are usually the cause of seed dormancy . This isn’t death. Dead seeds just rot and in rare cases they mineralise or fossilize

I just read an interesting post that I couldn’t respond to on another thread . Some creationist said that plants don’t have the “ breath of life” . Now that sounds weird to me because plants do everything that animals do except walk around. They eat , breath oxygen , sleep at night, reproduce, respond to physical damage, communicate with others of the same species and insects , and some can even move rapidly, etc.

Your thoughts?

your daughter is correct. All mammals have larger brains than they need and they use them . My dog used to come into my Ibedroom, convince me to follow her into the kitchen and get me to understand that her ball was under the stove and she needed me to reach it because she couldn’t . All without being able to talk or to use her paws to point and without pulling on me or my clothing And the ball wasn’t visible even when I got on my hands and knees to look!!!

. I had a dog that could speak when I was a teenager . He would tell me and my sister “shut up”or “no!” when we yelled at him for barking. I’m not joking! He really couldn’t pronounce that sh sound but it was very very clear he was saying shut up.( sh would come out like the ch in L’chaim and no would come out as Nyo! ) Since then I’ve always thought that people underestimate animal intelligence by a lot. And Koko the gorilla and Alex the parrot demonstrated that I was right

I was once asked how I would handle it if the Bible said the moon was made of green cheese, and I said then scientists would have to reconsider what green cheese is.

Given academia's penchant for getting words in the Bible wrong, I would say your definition of "die" needs an upgrade to include "dormant" as well.
