My dream jet is the F-14, but I would never own one as they retired her in 2006--and like you I am not a pilot. I just repaired aircraft when I was in the Navy. My son is a pilot, but he's not a member of this site.

On Facebook on 'Pencil day' Veterans put up pictures of her. People outside of naval aviation don't get the inside joke.

She now is a display outside of the old Grumman plant in Bethpage New York.

I've seen photos of Pencil on display outside the old Grumman planet, and I think she looks beautiful there. Of course, she'd look even more beautiful in flight.

I love your Tomcat art! I'll be posting mine on here, once I can set up albums. Starfighter 200 also reminds me of my Tomcat character Aquila; Aquila is an F-14D, not an A though.
