Those are some great shots. I like the camouflage paint in the last photo.

Apparently they had a lot of camouflaged paint jobs in WWII. The reason they had these kind of ground based schemes was for when the planes were most vulnerable – on the ground. So often had earth tones. I guess if the attacking plane was above it, it would help then too. Like the one below:

I reckon it would definitely help! :) I'm afraid I can't ID the plane (other than the fact that it's German); I only know modern fighter jets! :sweatsmile:

I don't know either. However, I once had a model of a German Messerschmidt Bf-109, that looked like it. Though maybe a lot of them looked similar.
Judging by the photo you linked, it probably is a Messerschmidt Bf-109, though as you said, a lot of WWII planes probably looked similar.
