 Please! Kirk was a walkin, talkin, overacting all-around interplanetary Billy Jack. While Piccard would try to reason with aliens and understand them, maybe get them into group therapy or something like that, maybe get them on the Federation's medical perscription assistance plan to deal with their issues. Kirk would blast 'em full of holes and then win the hearts of every woman on the planet as well as those of every girl on the ship - it's no contest. If you want Dr. Phil as a starship commander, it's Piccard. Kirk was kinda' corny at times, but at least they knew what weapons were for. And this whole "borg" thing? ARRRGGHHH! How boring is that? Again, blast 'em and be done with it. Later and God bless!

Gee, umm, could you share your thoughts with us! :D

This thread brings out the most interesting points about these shows and movies.

Oh, you forgot - Kirk always ended up with either a ripped shirt or no shirt at all.

Gotta love him! ^_^

Damn that’s a hard one.

Kirk.

Got to be Kirk, for Space Seed, Arena, Enemy Within, and especially, Search For Spock.

Kirk takes it.
(“I. Have. Had. Enough. Of. You!”)

[mode=pedant] That would be Jean-Luc Picard (not Luke) and James Tiberius Kirk[/mode]

Nice quote! Kirk got a good use out of his boot heel in that scene. ;)

I voted Picard. Kirk being a hyper-cheezy individual off-camera has just a *little* to do with it...I still love him tho!!

James T. Kirk. No question. Ya gotta go with the original. The only reason Picard COULD be more diplomatic is due to the groundwork laid by Kirk and Spock.

Sisco??? Was there a Sisco??? Ohhhhh - you mean the guy in charge of that total waste of a series. Bleh.

No Janeway option? Women libbers aren't gonna like you very much.
