We own a Maincoon cat my daughter named "Merlin".
I don't have a way to upload an actual picture of it, but this one I found on the net matches it very well. It's tail is probably as heavy as the rest on him put together. There is one odd thing though about it, it has never "purred"! Don't know if it is the breed or not....

beautiful cat...and it doesn't purr? that IS unique...i'd miss that..it's very calming to me to pet a purring cat..i need to get a kitten LOL

Thks brin. My daughter and her boyfriend found it wandering as a stray some years back.

It was pretty much skin and bone then. Perhaps something happened that caused him not to purr.
He is much like a dog, goes in and out to go "potty" so we at least save a lot on kitty litter
