Yeah, but maybe it's only an Episcopalian thing. You know how we are.

Well understanding who you are means you understand repentance.

I'm not quite ready to repent this bacon issue that I apparently have.

PETA should head down to the car lots there are still a lot of those nasty new cars being sold with leather seats.

I think PETA doesn't understand that its master plan leads entire species toward extinction. That isn't animal friendly. This isn't India. We're not going to have cows, hogs, sheep, and chickens living out peaceful lives in barn lots and pastures if people stop eating them. There would be few in existence outside of a zoo. All we'll have left is the goat.

One thing I'll say, is about the huge difference a plant based diet provides over an animal protein based diet. I and my wife have higher RPMs on our rowing machine and airdyne, for a longer time period when eating plant based than when we include animal protein.

I'm working on that same diet thing right now due to some medical condition -- I hate that.

Guess moderation in everything is the key? My wife the Saint has been trying to teach me that. I know I'm wretched but working on it.

You won't believe the difference. Plus it cleans all the junk out of your veins.

Yes, if I don't change some habits I'm going to have to call the Roto-Rooter plumber for my veins -- I hate that.

Looks like my years of using and abusing might be catching up with me?

God please have mercy on me and help me to make some healthy changes.

Academic claims idioms like "bringing home the bacon" will be phased out as veganism rises

"While these phrases may seem harmless, they carry meaning and can send mixed signals to students about the relationship between humans and animals and can normalize abuse," said PETA in one of their blog posts. "Teaching students to use animal-friendly language can cultivate positive relationships between all beings and help end the epidemic of youth violence toward animals."

Bring home the goats.

I'm a vegan now due to health reasons, but I seriously doubt I'll ever stop using that phrase.

On another note, I miss bacon. We used to be tight.

My grandmother was an old farm girl.
Once I bumped my forehead and had a big old knot on it.
Grandma made me hold a piece of raw bacon on it ????????????????????
Maybe that planted the bacon seed ?????????????????

My wife an I went on this diet for about five years. And it works really well for removing vein deposits. But we are plant based with more tolerance. Firehouse diet.

They also ate lamb.

And manna, for whatever its dietary benefits may have been, isn't available to us now.
They were not carnivorous like most Americans who suffer dearly for their eating habits.

Are you saying they did not eat as much meat as the average American?

That is likely true. They probably didn't take in as many calories overall as the average American.

But there has never been a stable culture developed anywhere on earth that has been actually vegan. Even Jainism allows dairy and eggs, provided the animals are cared for properly. That's because ultimately human beings are not herbivores, and maintaining health with on a herbivore diet requires use of technology that has only been available relatively recently.
