• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

spelling isn't grammar.
? I didn't point out a spelling error.

There are a lot of PC word usages that annoy me.
They are all like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.

Watching golf today I'm reminded of the one with obnoxious knuckle-draggers who insist on yelling out stupid things the split second after someone hits a shot. "In the hole!" is by far the worst of all. These people should be immediately ejected. It's getting like Happy Gilmore out there.

When people don't flush the toilet after use
Have you never heard Dustin Hoffman's famous line from Meet the Fockers: "If its yellow, let it mellow. If its brown, flush it down."

It is considered "green" in not wasting water.

When a word ending in a silent "e" is emphasized by extending -- you guessed it -- the silent "e".

Example: "That puppy is so cuteeeeeeeeeeeee!"
Unfortunately, those silent "e"s aren't going to make more noise if there's more of them.

Why stop there? How about only flushing the toilet once the flies are attracted to it?

People referring to The Revelation of St. John the Divine as:

Revelations

Even worse if they then expect to instruct others on the contents when they cannot even get the title right.
I prefer "The Apocalypse of John."
