Why is it that when I need to pull out of somewhere in my car, there won't be a single vehicle in sight until it's time for me to move, and then a plethora of vehicles will suddenly appear, making me wait???

companies, organizations, and even churches where they tend to always hire or find replacements for leadership outside their own people. this is even worse when it comes to churches. i mean, isn't the point of discipleship to train up others within your own midst to take over someday? but no...we'd rather fish in other ponds than be responsible to actually train up others to take over the work. this is pride and this is selfishness.
