Why do people insist on giving me kitchen towels??? Especially holiday themed ones?
There might be someone out there who loves getting kitchen towels, but I assure you, it's NOT me.

I saw a simple visual puzzle posted on Facebook. As clickbait often claims, the caption said that the puzzle is difficult to solve. Not really, but it is a bit hard on the eyes, especially if your eyesight is poor to begin with.

Found in the comment section, "Well, it wasn't hard for me, but I suppose for these (commenter flames people with opposing political views), yackity smackity, blah blah blah....."

Why is it that some people can and will turn literally EVERYTHING into a political debate?

I got a complaint today that our merchandise in the store is too low to the ground. I guarantee that if we raised the unit up higher the same person would complain that it's too high. Or if we just eliminated the bottom part of the display she'd complain that there's not enough stuff to pick from.

Exact opposite here. I'd rather be called "ma'am" than "young lady."

I suppose it depends on where you grew up. Where I come from (Southern US) "ma'am" is a term of respect for all adult women, and has nothing to do with how old they are. To me, "miss" sounds condescending, although not as bad as "young lady." By dictionary definition, a "miss" is a girl or an unmarried woman. I am a married adult; therefore I am "ma'am."

I'd be interested in knowing how other women feel about it. I'll probably start a poll in the women's forum.
