CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

That "peeves" you? Really.
Okay, well my pet peeve is when my washing machine breaks down. (it's happened before) and the repair man can't come out for like a week. And then he calls and says he forgot. So, he can't come out for another 4 days. And then when he does come. He has to order the part. And that should come tomorrow, but he doesn't call like he said he would.
So...I have to go to the laundromat. And the washers are really small, cost a lot and don't work. So, I have to convince the attendant that the machine isn't working. And he looks at me like I'm lying, because of course, I look like someone who would be so hard up they would lie about something like that. And then I finally get the guy to give me money to do my laundry in another machine. and my cloths don't get clean anyway.
In short, dealing with people who don't want to be helpful is a peeve. And paying through the nose to use a laundromat machine that doesn't work is also a peeve.

Or more acurately, having to be very careful of every single thing I eat, because it will inevitably make me ill if I'm not careful. And nobody understanding that about me. And trying to make me eat things that I can't eat, by making me feel guilty about it.
