CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Peeve: Christians who think nothing of being rude to others. Gets my goat!!! What a bad example!

People who smell bad.
People who don't wash their hair.
People who don't keep their kids reasonably clean. (dirty fingernails, or crud in the skin folds on a baby for instance. )
I'm sorry. But, people with bad hygiene offend me. I admit it.

School award ceremonies/banquets and other after school things through the school that don't communicate about schedule overlap. And the people involved who get mad at my children for not being able to be in two places at once. When if they had thought to consult each other and planned accordingly, there wouldn't be a problem in the first place!
I don't personally understand teachers etc. who take out their angst/frustration/anger on children about stuff like this anyway. I have really mild mannered, hard working kids. They don't deserve to be treated this way.

Another peeve...
People who take the side of the adult, any adult, when there's a conflict involving children. Even when they don't know the children or the adults involved. Saying ignorant things like "the kid must have done something to deserve it". People like that need to be slapped.

My niece being mean to my cat, and her mother trying to justify it as being the cats fault. (Hey, the poor cat was sleeping on the back of a chair. What could she have possibly done to deserve being slapped off of it?) The cat growls at her still. Her mother, my sister, still feels she has to say I have a mean cat. (I don't however feel justified in saying she has a mean 3 year old. )
