Uh oh. I'm your pet peeve then grammybear. Most of the time I drive above the speed limit!!!

Uhhhh....me too

lol!! No you're not!!! I was refering to those who don't drive the speed limit, as in 5-10 miles under the speed limit!! I was going somewhere the other day, and people were bottlenecking the road, 5 miles below the limit!!! I couldn't get around them!!

LOL, sounds like my teens, they seem to know it all.
I don't mind it from teenagers, (I have 2). The belief that "All adults are stupid". I was that way too. Doesn't bother me. It makes me laugh. :D

But, when it's from 30 somethings who think they're smarter than me, but can't be bothered to shut up for two seconds to find out before they start doling out their advise, that make me entertain thoughts of strangulation and duct tape! :D

Uuuuh, RendaLane, do you need a massage? ;)

One time I got arrested by a policeman who talked to me as if I was an idiot. I decided to play the idiot telling him I did not know what the speed was and therefore did not realize I was going above the speed limit. Well, that worked. He only gave me a warning! :p

No. My husband actually just gave me one. :)

Yeah, but guys are different. They can get nicer when they see you as helpless in need of their protection. :D

Women are different. You play dumb to a younger woman who hasn't learned to be humble yet, and she's just going to get meaner and more aggressive.

No. I'm going to have to give up my church book club. It's either that or use the duct tape!

Yeah, I hear you, RendaLane. That's frustrating. I think some people enjoy playing the role of "authority," whether it's appropriate or not. I sorta have to laugh at it, because what's the alternative?

Small peeve: When something happens to someone, and they tell you about it repeatedly -- in the same way, with ALL the same details, as though you'd never heard it before. And when you try to push the "fast forward" button by either telling them you've heard it before, or repeating the details to them to help them realize they've said it all already, or you ask them a question to get them to the next point -- they stay stuck on telling the story. Some people are incredibly linear...
