When you're looking through a photo album with a few other people, but the person turning the pages keeps stopping to chat about every little detail and it takes five times as long as it could to get through the album!

one of my biggest pet peeves is too many presents for the boys! My MIL always goes overboard!

Mine too. She gave them all presents and then threw $400 at them as well, just for good measure! Christmas should be about helping the poor and unfortunate. Not about who can throw more money at the grandchildren! (She and their grandfather compete with each.)

when my FIL says goodbye and goodnight to Jake (my 2yr old), and not the other 2 boys...
it's like they don't exist!

When people complain about what other people do, when they do it themselves.

when my neighbor makes judgements on my parenting!
I go to a regular pediatrician and get antibiotics for my kids, as well as immunizations and flu shots.
She thinks i'm giving my kids poison!!
"My kids have never had the flu and we don't do flu shots." She makes me feel like I gave my kids the flu!

No, it was good. You're just a good writer I guess, because I felt all that anger and frustration. (angst and irritation? ) Your neighbor reminds me of someone. One of my friends little sisters. Very arrogant and controlling. Thinks she's an authority on everything. She's 28. How much could she really know, right? We used to joke, If will and determination could rewrite the dictionary, hers would have! Some people just have strong personalities. And look at it this way, at least you don't have to be married to her, right?

I used to say "Thank you. But, God put me in charge of the care of my children. And I'm just going to have to trust that He knew what he was doing"

She does have that controling personality.
Her own husband calls her a "food snob!" LOL!
She hates Cheerios of all things!! I don't see anything wrong with cheerios!! LOL!
And my MIL used to tell me...and still does..."God made you their mother!" LOL! Too funny that you should mention that!
I think I'll tell her that next time she bombards me with her holistic ideas.
Oh...don't get me wrong! I'm in awe of people who can do those holistic things and be comfortable with them. I just am not that type of person....yet!

Just do your best. That's all God asks. If they're healthy and happy and relatively well adjusted socially ... you've done your job.

When someone has their radio on, and it's static-y and they don't do anything about it! How can they listen to it like that?

I don't like that either 4everloved.

My pet peeve is when someone tells me what they would do in my situation...when they've never actually been in my situation.
