Personality-based career counseling tests can be revelations. I would recommend this book for your search on finding the right career.wvmtnkid said:I followed the link here from the Singles forum. I took this test, or something close to it about a year ago and I was just curious to see if I came up with the same results. I did. I am an INFJ. I took it in relation to career counseling. My job, a CPA with the government, is a severe mis-match to my personality! Oh well, what do you do? What it did help me with was to look at how I spend some of my personal time and see how that could help fulfill what my career was lacking.
Yep, I think we should start a club.wvmtnkid said:What I also found interesting is that INFJ's were rare, but it seems there are several here in this thread!
Yes, it is true. NT's are a rare breed, which is too bad, because we definitely need them!Buskanaka said:I'm an INTJ

According to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator--which is where the Keirsey Temperament sorter originated--you are indeed opposites. But Keirsey would have something different to say.mamaneenie said:I am ESFP. My husband is INTJ. We are so opposite. However, I last did these tests 6 months after we had been married. I'd be interested to know how opposite we are after being married almost 3 years with an almost 2 yo boy.
I followed this paradigm for awhile, and my verdict is, it isn't sufficiently comprehensive.pmarquette said:Personality Plus - Florence Litaeur / Gary Smaley
choleric [ lion ] leader , now , focused , like Patton , Bush
phlegmatic [ golden retriever ] couch potato , counselor , settled , comfort zone
melancholy [ beaver ] builder , worker , faithful , routine , withdrawn , distanced
sanguine [ otter ] playful , fun , air heads , forgettful , people persons , motivators
I are a Choleric Melancholy : faithful , love routines , like to build , to remodel , to know what is expected of me ...
I can see that. Keirsey describes the ISFJ as the "Protector" who, more than any other type, is concerned with people's safety. As a doctor, you would be protecting people from the danger of diseases.Wide-eyedWithWonder said:I'm ISFJ...interesting...i'm thinking about becoming a doctor.
Hmm that S is right on the border. Which profile better fits you, the Inspector or the Mastermind?jenptcfan said:I'm ISTJ

I'm not sure. I think some of the things in the mastermind category sound like me--being strong willed, pragmatic, etc. But I don't consider myself a natural leader.Rising Tree said:Hmm that S is right on the border. Which profile better fits you, the Inspector or the Mastermind?
