And the gang problem is a drug problem. Legalize it or de-criminalize it. Then this "black on black" meme can die.
I think this problem also stems from the social and economic struggles of poverty that many African Americans still face in this country today. I think that if these specific issues were addressed more accurately and successfully, then there might not be such a problem with gangs or illegal drugs in their communities in the future.
Yeah, because drug dealers used to making hundreds or thousands of dollars a day are going to go to work for McDonalds if they would only pay fifteen dollars an hour.
Looking like it.
WBC holds up signs celebrating the death of gays and non-gays alike and the BLM calls for the death of cops.
And the gang problem is a drug problem. Legalize it or de-criminalize it. Then this "black on black" meme can die.
I may be optimistic, wanting to better the lives of people in poverty, but I think that the drug problem can be dealt with or at least be kept at bay, and the social and economic issues of poverty that plague not only African Americans, but other minorities as well, such as Native Americans, can be addressed and be successfully dealt with over time. I never said it would be easy and it may or may not be successful after being tried for a long period of time, but I do think that it is definitely worth a try.
Also: gotta love the "sea of whiteness" part. What's that called... race baiting?

American "whites" have led the world in many things. This poll is just one more area.Well.....
It isn't exactly race baiting when statistics are on his side. "sea of whiteness" at a republican event is a fairly accurate comment.
Yes, this poll shows that whites lead the way in the Republican party.American "whites" have led the world in many things. This poll is just one more area.

That was the point.
No I didn't. It looked much like a GOP convention with a sea of whiteness.
And to say "all lives matter" is to denigrate what the black community sees as to what they face on a daily basis. That's the truth.
And in solidarity, as a Native American, I stand with them, because our experiences and our social and economic conditions in this country aren't that different.
Republican or Democrat - under the theme of this thread - have done next to nothing for anyone.
So by contrast the 2008 Democratic National Convention was a sea of blackness?Well.....

Only if you let it stick. "White Privilege", white guilt trip efforts, are weapons of racists. Step aside and let the heaping shovel full fall at the feet of the haters. Maybe the smell of hypocrisy while pursuing an agenda of reverse racism will snap them out of it.I say that All Lives Matter. I don't denigrate anyone's situation when I do so. I also believe, though, that we are often the victims of our own bad choices. I believe in personal responsibility, and that has nothing to do with skin color.
Your characterization of "a sea of whiteness" being racist is noted, as well. I know a good number of non-white republicans. They get called Uncle Tom A LOT by their fellow brothers and sisters. Nice.
Ooh. More white guilt to be heaped upon us!
