Hey guys. I'm Jules by the way, some people call me Isaac. I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian who has in the past practiced Eastern Catholicism, Lutheranism (High Church) and Reform Judaism. To an extend, I still do practice Judaism's traditions and laws.
Perhaps I am a moderate Christian. I'm pretty theologically and liturgically conservative. I believe in Biblical infalliability, the use of Holy Tradition, and strict liturgical practice in churches. I could be described as semi-Armanian and open evangelical. I believe the Holy Spirit has inspired the theology of the Church. However, I do adhere to universal reconciliation based on what the Eastern Orthodox Church teaches, which is something that seems to resemble universal reconciliation, specifically the position of the Church that prayers for the dead help them. I believe the Eucharist is the literal Body and Blood of Christ, and that when the Divine Liturgy is celebrated, we celebrate it along with the angels in saints in Heaven. I believe in theistic evolution.
Socially and politically, I am also pretty conservative. I believe that same-sex marriage is permissable, but I oppose the legalisation of drugs, abortion, the death penalty, and euthanasia. I believe sex is only permissable in marriage. I describe myself as a Christian democrat, a liberal conservative, and a green conservative.
I would support a political party like the Christian Democrats in Sweden, the Christian Democratic Union in Germany, the Moderate Party in Sweden, and the Free Democratic Party of Germany. I support to a degree the Green Party of the United States (though I am not a social democrat) and the Libertarian Party of the United States.
So...what do you think?
