If we knew for sure then Christ's coming would be announced and not unlooked for. But... Christ comes as a thief... Unlooked for. Could happen at this early hour with all the kiddies asleep in their little beddies!

Yeah, I had to memorize all of those for Missionettes. I always felt that left room for interpretation as to when the rapture is supposed to occur. I have never read the official position paper on it.But they are not saying a pre-trib rapture in that, and it could be mid trib or post trib.
The years I fellowshipped in AOG, I never ever heard a pre-trib Bible study from them, but in our home we certainly brought our kids up on the Scriptures that teach it.
I think it is best for a preacher or teacher to not give his own opinion if he has not formed it by revelation. Our first AOG pastor was a dear man of God whom we loved, and we loved his parents who were retired pastors and served in his Church and who took us in as new believers [I was saved at home, then found a Church], but he would not even take a stand on the rapture when we asked him. He said he was "pan-trib", that it would all pan out, and I later learned that was a common joke.Yeah, I had to memorize all of those for Missionettes. My youth pastor at the time certainly believed in a pre-tribulation rapture. He further believed that once the rapture occurred, your last chance of salvation was gone. No one after the rapture could possibly come to Christ under any circumstances. He was very apocalyptic in his teachings.
When I was in college, at an AoG college, we studied many different views of Revelation in my theology classes. None was specifically endorsed to us. We were just taught what was out there in regard to interpretations, beliefs, and various theologies.
Enoch chapter 50 prophecy of the pre-trib rapture and of those who repent and are saved, who see it happen -it is not a secret rapture:
The Book of Enoch, Translated by Robert H. Charles, 1912
We Shall Be Changed
50 And in those days a change shall take place for the holy and elect,
And the light of days shall abide upon them,
And glory and honour shall turn to the holy,
2On the day of affliction on which evil shall have been treasured up against the sinners.
And the righteous shall be victorious in the name of the Lord of Spirits:
And He will cause the others to witness this
That they may repent
And forgo the works of their hands.
3They shall have no honour through the name of the Lord of Spirits,
Yet through His name shall they be saved,
And the Lord of Spirits will have compassion on them,
For His compassion is great.
4And He is righteous also in His judgement,
And in the presence of His glory unrighteousness also shall not maintain itself:
At His judgement the unrepentant shall perish before Him.
5And from henceforth I will have no mercy on them, saith the Lord of Spirits.

CANNOT happen that way. THAT is a fairy tale:
Acts 3:19-21
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out...when the times of refreshing shall come......from the presence of the Lord;
20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
21 Whom the heaven must receive (retain)... until the times of restitution of all things (is accomplished)..... which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
Ps 110:1 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand.... until....I make thine enemies thy footstool.
Zech 4:6 Not by might....nor by power....but ....by my spirit....saith the Lord of hosts.
Actually the truth of what Jesus said of that time is He wondered if there would be anyone there when He returned....that's what I thought of from Rockytopva's post.
Not quite understanding what you are saying from the post?

Some powerful passages from the Word of God...Those that quote the Acts passage conveniently apply an ellipses that masks out that fact. It is too bad that people are drawn by emotion and not the Holy Writ. The same applies to those that are overwhelmed by emotion and desires of the flesh and think they are living the days of Pentecost.
If I would have got started with By Faith Alone in his younger days I could have done something with him. Me and that boy are going to have to sit down with our peace pipes and have a little pow wow. Yes sir... I am going to have to sit down and have a long talk with that boy!
