But they are not saying a pre-trib rapture in that, and it could be mid trib or post trib.
The years I fellowshipped in AOG, I never ever heard a pre-trib Bible study from them, but in our home we certainly brought our kids up on the Scriptures that teach it.
Yeah, I had to memorize all of those for Missionettes. I always felt that left room for interpretation as to when the rapture is supposed to occur. I have never read the official position paper on it.

My youth pastor at the time certainly believed in a pre-tribulation rapture. He further believed that once the rapture occurred, your last chance of salvation was gone. No one after the rapture could possibly come to Christ under any circumstances. He was very apocalyptic in his teachings.

When I was in college, at an AoG college, we studied many different views of Revelation in my theology classes. None was specifically endorsed to us. We were just taught what was out there in regard to interpretations, beliefs, and various theologies.

I think it is best for a preacher or teacher to not give his own opinion if he has not formed it by revelation. Our first AOG pastor was a dear man of God whom we loved, and we loved his parents who were retired pastors and served in his Church and who took us in as new believers [I was saved at home, then found a Church], but he would not even take a stand on the rapture when we asked him. He said he was "pan-trib", that it would all pan out, and I later learned that was a common joke.
Having come from a fundamentalist Baptist Church background I wanted to get that settled in my mind after the LORD saved me, so I studied the Word, and found abundant proof for a pre-trib rapture, which has only been increased in my 45 years as a bible believing and studying Christian.
In the Fundamentalist Baptist Church where I first heard the Gospel preached by an anointed man of God [who did speak in tongues, but I thought everyone did, when I was saved, cause that was my own experience of hearing as a child, and there it was, in the Word], I also heard that those who missed the rapture were forever doomed, but I also found that the Word of God does not teach that at all. Those who are ready, go. Those who are not ready do not go, but they may "buy oil" and get ready for either death or martyrdom, or for His second coming to reign over the earth.

The book of Enoch strengthens the pre-trib rapture doctrine as the first sacred writing to prophesy of it -and of the tribulation as the second consummation of sin on earth- and also of those who see it and repen,t who are saved in His name, but who do not get the glory [they are not raptured/changed and go up, but wait it out].

Enoch was believed and taught to be sacred writing by the LORD, who oft quoted from it -and that it was read and studied by those who were believers and sought the LORD is proved by the many quotes from it in the NT which only come from there, and which are proved to have been there first, by its having been kept in the "canon" of the Ehtiopian Orthodox Church, which Church came to be formed out of a base of early Jews converted to the Gospel in the first century, who had and kept Enoch, for all the age of the Church; then also by its being discovered in the "Bible" [Bible means collection of manuscripts] of the Essenes who left their manuscripts they studied in the Qumran caves, and are called the Dead Sea Scrolls, having been discovered in the last century].

Enoch chapter 50 prophecy of the pre-trib rapture and of those who repent and are saved, who see it happen -it is not a secret rapture:
The Book of Enoch, Translated by Robert H. Charles, 1912
We Shall Be Changed
50 And in those days a change shall take place for the holy and elect,
And the light of days shall abide upon them,
And glory and honour shall turn to the holy,

2On the day of affliction on which evil shall have been treasured up against the sinners.
And the righteous shall be victorious in the name of the Lord of Spirits:
And He will cause the others to witness this
That they may repent
And forgo the works of their hands.

3They shall have no honour through the name of the Lord of Spirits,
Yet through His name shall they be saved,
And the Lord of Spirits will have compassion on them,
For His compassion is great.

4And He is righteous also in His judgement,
And in the presence of His glory unrighteousness also shall not maintain itself:

At His judgement the unrepentant shall perish before Him.
5And from henceforth I will have no mercy on them, saith the Lord of Spirits.

If we knew for sure then Christ's coming would be announced and not unlooked for. But... Christ comes as a thief... Unlooked for. Could happen at this early hour with all the kiddies asleep in their little beddies!

CANNOT happen that way. THAT is a fairy tale:

Acts 3:19-21
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out...when the times of refreshing shall come......from the presence of the Lord;
20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
21 Whom the heaven must receive
(retain)... until the times of restitution of all things (is accomplished)..... which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

Ps 110:1 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand.... until....I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Zech 4:6 Not by might....nor by power....but ....by my spirit....saith the Lord of hosts.

Actually the truth of what Jesus said of that time is He wondered if there would be anyone there when He returned....that's what I thought of from Rockytopva's post.
Not quite understanding what you are saying from the post?

If I would have got started with By Faith Alone in his younger days I could have done something with him. Me and that boy are going to have to sit down with our peace pipes and have a little pow wow. Yes sir... I am going to have to sit down and have a long talk with that boy!

My friend:

The Scriptures are plain as I showed that there will be a beneficial Kingdom BEFORE He ever vacates His throne and it is the Holy Spirit that will make folks be willing to turn their swords into plowshares. NO ONE has any room for the times of refreshing in their prophetic outlook. He will return when the times of refreshing is accomplished. He will NOT return tonight with the little kiddies in their beddies.

Those that quote the Acts passage conveniently apply an ellipses that masks out that fact. It is too bad that people are drawn by emotion and not the Holy Writ. The same applies to those that are overwhelmed by emotion and desires of the flesh and think they are living the days of Pentecost.

Some powerful passages from the Word of God...

Acts 19

King James Version (KJV)

19 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
7 And all the men were about twelve.

The times of refreshing are upon us but I fail to recognise lack of joy as being of the Lord. It's not a joy according to the flesh by any means. Strictly speaking tho two shall be in the bed and one shall be taken so it could well be a kiddie snuggled in.....have a great talk ya'll
