Romans 12: 18

18. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Can a person live this Bible principal and still find actively fault with others?

:o

Yes. If that fault will lead them to hell, I should try to correct them. I am not, however, responsible for how they react (as much as it depends on me). I think God would be far more concerned that I correct your errors and present to you the truth than He would be if we could go out and talk baseball over coffee.

Sounds like you got it for the most part. I'm not sure why you're asking.

From those you mentioned, Paul is certainly not implying everyone will be at peace with us, but likely that persecution will be in abundance. And I mean real persecution.

It is relevant. We seek truth, not "it's what I think". There is no harm with input. But just make sure the beam isn't in your eye.

Is what you're saying here the truth?

Keeping in mind that the OP asked if we can live peacefully while actively finding fault with others, here is my look at John 15.

8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

These verses indicate that if we love God that we will bear fruit, abide in love, and love one another. I see nothing here about fault finding. Does this mean that you agree that we cannot live in peace while actively finding fault with others?

So Mormon missionaries are no longer gonna be going around telling everyone that every Protestant creed is an abomination to God? You do realize that the very foundation of Mormonism was the Mormon God finding fault with all else of christiandom, right? Or is it only OK for Mormonism to point out error?

Is what you're saying here the truth?

I say what I believe. I back up my belief with scriptures. Many don't accept the scriptures I follow. But that's my belief in spiritual truth appearing many places and mans unreliability to contain it.

I seek truth. I don't proclaim it.
