Now the famous female evangelist/pastor is getting divorced for the second time. If you are a follower or not, do you think she should continue as a pastor?

It's going to be one big fight over things. They have million dollar homes, lear jets, condos at Trump Towers, ect. Christians paid for all of these worldly goods. Should they be given back to the church?

As with many (perhaps most) of the big-time evangelists, I am more upset with their lavish lifestyle than with the fact that they are divorcing.

I agree. Although I don't know enough about these pastors to speak about them specifically, it just seems to me like something is seriously wrong when pastors lead lifestyles that far exceeds those of their parishioners.

Tacky.

I don't particularly care all that much in regards to what they spend their money on. Just... Trump Tower?

I guess there is something to be said for being "understated". I'm not familiar with either of these people, but if they were spreading a word of being frugal, their spending is even tackier.

I don't really care much for big tele-evangelists. It's not good to spend money so carelessly, though, like the others have said.

Everyone makes mistakes, so I say if she wants to pursue being a pastor still, she should. I don't think that it would be a great idea to get right back to being a pastor after all this has happened to her and her family--She should take cares of those needs first, and her own spiritual growth, before taking on the career again.

And yeah, it'd be a good idea if they got rid of some of the stuff that they actually don't need as necessities.

Well, firstly, Idont think she should be preaching to adult men unless there is no man qualified for the job.

Secondly, in my own mind it depends as far as simply being divorced.
Was it frivolous?
Was it her fault or was her spouse the guilty party?

Thirdly, when that kind of waste is evident I personally dont believe the persons are even true believers to begin with. Its just my opinion, but theres no way Im buying that Lord Jesus Christ would would lead ANY believer to waste so much money instead of feeding hungry children or some other godly work. James seems to show being able overlook the poor/hungry shows that ones faith is dead(ie; was never alive)....how could ANY true believer know the facts about hunger in the world, especially dear little children, and spend to such extreme excess while there is still so many going without even the bare necessities ?
Again, thats just an opinion.

I totally agree. My guess is people that do this must be atheist. Most of them are trained hypnotist, ect. Have you ever been to a fair and seen a hypnotist get a whole crowd on stage and get them 90% of them to do what they want. My uncle, a business owner, use to set electronics for a prominent evangelist. Lighting and sound, music was all directed by a specialist in hypnotics...

My uncle traveled all over doing this for two years....the stories he can tell. He actually had to sign a very legal contract not to discuss any of his work.
