Ah, thanks for the link. That gives the important information. So yeah, it wasn't because he had the same name as a movie star, and apparently neither side bothered to give any real campaign at all.

Interestingly, it seems he proved popular after winning. That election was back in 1990, and 30 years later he's still on the Washington Supreme Court (his most recent re-election was in 2020).
Interesting how the fact of the matter here are so different from what was claimed earlier on in the thread. And yet we're still expected to believe other similarly wild claims with zero evidence.

Personally, I hope all of these rabid right wing political "patriot" parties do form. The more extremist they become, the more REAL conservatives will see them for what they are.
I rather they be just moderate enough to equally split the GOP vote in half.

Regarding the court cases, that's what happens when the other side goes scorched earth against you. And it's amazing how many of his cases that are touted as "another Trump loss" are reversed by higher courts.
What exactly do you know about his court cases?
1) Those 3000 cases he has? Almost all of them are before his time as a politician. Again, he's dishonest so of course he'll be involved in a lot of court cases.
2) He is a defendent and a litigant by a ratio of ABOUT 50-50.
He is the aggressor in about as many instances.

Out of curiousity is it 100% necessary to make Trump out into a victim whenever anyone points out some personality flaw in the man? Have you noticed that as a behaviour pattern amongst supporters yet?

Regarding the lying, I have two positions on this:
1. WHAT a politician lies about matters. Lying about an affair is different than lying about taking money from China.
2. Calling ANY politician a liar always gets a chuckle out of me. It's like calling Arizona hot.
1) I know. That was my point. Trump lies more than any other politician.
2) Trump has lied about many things. He's a liar. He is also a well established cheater (a trait that goes hand in hand with lying and SHOULD, to the discerning human, start indicating a personality flaw).

I've seen the "mis-information" as well. That's not what I'm talking about.
Yeah see. The issue is that I ASSUME that I am being shown the BEST evidence that they have no and not "mis-information" that Trump's legal team has used but got laughed out of court with.

Perhaps I should NOT be assuming they would so the "best" evidence. and that they'd just be happy to throw WHATEVER against the wall to see what will stikc.

I don't know. I only suspect. I wasn't there. I figure it is a cross between mail vote fraud and voting machine results manipulation. But it could be something else or more likely a combination of that and other things. Time will tell.
It was actually an intergalactic consortium of concerned aliens that used a combination of long range molecular transportation and individualized cloaking devices to break into state election headquarters around the country to vaporize votes for trump with their energy blasters because they thought trump was a threat to the liberal agenda put forth by the Galactic Alliance of Tree Huggers and Recreational Marijuana Users (it's VERY popular on Alpha Centauri IV). We know this is true because of the complete and utter lack of evidence that any of this happened that the aliens left behind (only aliens with extrememly advanced technologies could have achieved this level of convincing non-evidence).

Also, the Galactic Alliance of Tree Huggers and Recreational Marijuana Users were also directly responsible for the American Revolutionaries being able to capture the British airfields against superior forces during the Revolutionary War ... but that's a story for another day.

All I'm getting out of that post is that you are a "foe of Trump". I already get that.

I've used a "friend or foe" litmus test for decades to determine who is friend and who is foe. It works like this.
Friend: Even your worst failures are racked up as "nobody's perfect" and your smallest accomplishments are heralded as historic achievements. This would be your mom's perspective on you.
Foe: Your greatest achievements are racked up as "even a stopped clock is right twice a day" and your smallest failures are proof that you are not only a waste of good air, but a danger to your fellow man.

So, I always take, with a grain of salt, anything said about trump from a friend or from a foe, and filter accordingly. I understand you enjoy highlighting Trump's faults, and I highlight Bidens. But I see them both as flawed men. And I'm more concerned about a president that lies aboutenriching his family through ties with China than one that lies about having an affair 20 years ago. Then again, Biden lied about how he met Jill* so, I dunno. Gimme another beer.

*Did he lie, or is he telling the truth? I don't know. I'm not inclined to believe stories about the candidate I'm against without reasonable evidence. On the other hand, I can look at their track record in politics and decide if I think they will represent, in their office duties, my values. That's why I was no fan of Trump until AFTER he was elected and I really liked what he did in office, and why I was NEVER a fan of Biden. And that is what determined my vote - non nonsense claims about private phone calls, affairs, etc. The democrat leadership absolutely embarrassed themselves throughout the entire Trump presidency - in how they did their actual job - and continued on with the farce even AFTER he was no longer in office. This is absolutely unprecedented in US politics. It will leave a mark on this country.

Dude! We're not supposed to talk about that! I really like it here and don't want this 800 year "observer" assignment cut short. I still have 150 years to go.

I think it was the Russians. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! ;)

I think that may be teh fundamental problem.

Critiques of Trump are never really considered are they. It's just "Oh. You hate Trump. Ok".

But realize: That isn't my fault.

They are considered, just as friends are. A confession: When I see a thread in my favorite conservative site either hammering Pelosi or praising Trump in "over the top" ways, e.g. "bombshell", I check them out and verify the story through other sources. Frankly, this is why I never signed on to the birther thing regarding Obama. And all too often I find out either the story is bogus or much adieu about nothing.

So I'm not saying that I don't listen to you because you are a foe. I'm saying I consider your strong arguments against trump accordingly. I honestly do see a LOT of this on threads about trump and have for a very long time as the equivalent of this scene from "The Jerk". The spirit of that scene nails it when you consider the sins of the two characters at that point. I think of Mr. Watson's character as Nancy Pelosi or Schiff. It's how I see both impeachments.:

You may think that but you don't always address my arguments or what I say in my posts so it's REALLY hard for me to think that.

I don't address ALL of your arguments because I avoid rabbit trails and also, some of them are "been there, done that" issues for me. I've been arguing politics on the internet since 1997. "There is nothing new under the sun."

Although the parties seem to have been formed separately and without coordination, what many of these novice politicos share, they said in interviews, is a deep frustration with the GOP and a desire to create an alternative to the two-party system — with or without Trump's help or participation.

Get back in the tent! We need you!

Yep. I don't consider most of them to be good things for the federal government to even mess with. Social Security was a terrible idea - raw socialism.:)
Why were Republican deficits always higher during Republican administrations when they were so against these giveaways?
Obviously because they gave more huge giveaways to billionaires.
Someday you may be a septugenarian like me and see the wisdom of Social Security; which has propped up the federal budget for decades.

RNC says it will take Arizona Secretary of State 'to court and win' if state certifies Patriot Party

Arizona's Patriot Party, which bills itself as a constitutional conservative party, submitted faulty signatures for its state application, the RNC alleges.

The RNC claims the Patriot Party submitted approximately up to 8,000 signatures from non-registered voters, 10,000 signatures from more than two years ago and 900 duplicate signatures in its filing.

[SoS has no comment]

Patriot Party President John Fillmore told Fox News Digital the group has launched a campaign to recruit candidates in Arizona.

"We will always probably caucus with the Republicans, but we will not be hamstrung by the Republican Party rules."

"If I get enough signatures for us to become another party, well then, hey, there's a problem in their house," said Fillmore.

Huh - always probably". That inspires confidence.
