Have you repented? Is not repenting OK for you, and not for him? If any of you haven't repented, regardless of what Trump has done I can't take you seriously, just that simple. I mean how can you expect it of others if you don't do it yourself.

These are some very basic rules.

Forgiveness doesn't mean being blind to a person's faults - you forgive the alcoholic who has wronged you, you don't put them in charge of the communion wine.

As for there being "a group for that" I'm not the one who seems super-sensitive to any perceived criticism of Trump. I'm not "beating up on him", I'm just expecting him to behave properly. And I'm quite comfortable with my position in from of God w.r.t that view.

Why do you ask? The posted question was how we know that Donald didn't. And I provided a quote from him answering that question.

If you want to make a thread about how I have or have not repented, feel free.

But in the meantime, any chance of addressing what I actually posted? Seems like this response here is just an attempt to dodge an uncomfortable fact about the leader of the GOP.

People dont get this.

A privately held company has vastly different standards of accountability than does a good government.

And considering the way he ran his previous businesses...

Considering how well the country is doing, regardless of how the democrats keep targeting him with hatred, I'd say he's doing quite well.

By that logic, imagine how dire the country's situation will be after he's gone.

Let's hope we never have to see that.

Are you planning on him making himself king for life and his last dying act is nuking us all into oblivion? If not there will be a time when Trump is no longer president. Your statement lends evidence to my hypotheses that the Republican Party has zero plans for the future when Trump is no longer there. They are only worried about today. Not a overly smart political strategy.

I don't plan on him being there forever. I do hope he gets 2 terms in office though. After that, we'll hopefully have a good Republican candidate who will make it into office afterwards. But based on history, I doubt that will happen. Let's see: Bill Clinton, 2 terms. Bush Jr., 2 terms, Obama, 2 terms. Notice also how the party in charge of the oval office also alternates each time. Before Clinton, it was Bush Sr., a Republican.

Therefore, I expect that after Trump (whether in 2020 or 2024), it will be a democrat in office again. I also predict that after either 1 or 2 terms of that person being in office, it will be a Republican there once again.

So What you wrote in Post #153 was just sarcasm?

That’s good to know. You’ll have to forgive me but in my mind Trump supporters are now in the Mike Tyson zone. No matter how crazy something they say is, a part of you always thinks, “Maybe they are sincere.” I’m fully expecting to see Trump declare Christianity illegal and see everyone of them burn their Bibles and renounce Christ. Remember, it is better to be in the Plastics hating life than to not be in it at all.

Economy wise, I would concur were it not for the accelerating deficit spending.

I think the Repub theory is: hopefully the other party will be holding the bag when its time to pay the piper.

That's how it works, apparently.

What I said in post 153 was in response to:
By that logic, imagine how dire the country's situation will be after he's gone.

I personally hope the country won't be in a dire situation no matter who is in office after Trump is gone. As long as sanity prevails, I think things will be alright. But I do shudder to imagine how things would change if the democrats not only end up with the White House, but also the House and Senate, with those in the extreme left such as AOC & Company controlling the narrative and direction of the country. So I hope you can understand why I won't be voting democrat anytime soon.

I'm surprised to see you say that you're "fully expecting to see Trump declare Christianity illegal". Many people here say Trump has the Christian Right in his pocket, so I don't understand how you could expect Trump to do something like that. Sarcasm?

I used to be concerned about that as well, and used to voice that concern here when Obama increased the national debt more than every president before him combined. Obama supporters reassured me that national debt isn't the same as personal debt and therefore I shouldn't be concerned. So I'm no longer concerned about how much deficit spending is being done or how high the national debt is.

My understanding is that the main block of deficit spending back then was in response to the economic disaster of 2008. Good times, by contrast, are when we're supposed to make up ground on our debt. Thats a conventional take, anyway.

No, thats your news sources placing AOC etc at the center. FOX and the rest of right side media loves her out of all proportion.
