  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm just explaining what I believe. It's fairly evident you are attached to biblical fundamentalism.

Hello? this is a Christian website where many believe in the bible as it is written, and since I am a Christian, of course that is what I believe. I'm of the opinion we either believe it or don't. If one chooses to cherry pick what they like and leave the rest, just stay away from the bible altogether, so as not to confuse yourself or others and go write your own religion...that one belongs to the true God.

Fundamentalism isn't the only possible Christian hermeneutic. There are different ways to interpret the Bible and take it seriously as a religious text, and while I no longer identify as a Chrisitan, I respect those who live a life loving others and working for peace and justice. They are legitimately part of the Beloved Community that Martin Luther King Jr. spoke of.

I see, Fire Dragon is going way back to dig up his dirt. Glad my past behavior has been forgiven. Seems some Christians here are showing all their colors in these Trump threads

And what is that recent Toxic behavior to which you refer?

Thanks for the info.

Has he repented of these past behaviours? It’s one thing for God to forgive people, it’s another for people to forgive a leader over and over who seems to constantly exhibit bad behaviour.

As for the pastor who is the subject of this OP, I would suggest that he spend time in prayer and reading the bible to better know Jesus, because his view of what Jesus might do is sadly inaccurate.

Why ask me, ask "anyone"...my crystal ball is only so effective

I thought I did. If you're not "anyone," wouldn't that make you "no one"?

The base are totally blind to the kind of person Trump is and how he is trying to change the nation. He thinks and attempts to behave as though he was an absolute monarch and if he is unchallenged in this the nation will be changed forever.

Blind maybe. Or maybe they are loving it.

Funny, as I understood it, bottom line was, Trump ran his business well enough to become rich.

Yeah, but his dad isn't around to bail out the country from Donald's failures like he was for his businesses, so it seems a bit strange to compare the two.

I'm not saying it is, I'm asking. I guess I'm trying to find out if you go by the Bible because it seems to me you are telling me you make things up as you go along, and it's all a matter of what is convenience to you.

Still no answer to the question, so do I take it you don't forgive Trump? Or is forgiveness not in your religion? You really are making it impossible to know just what you think when it comes to God...you are all over the place, the very reason I think it's all a matter of that convenience I mentioned
Forgiveness is really helped along by some evidence of repentance on the part of the offender.

Does God forgive those who dont repent?

What harm? And upon whom?
. Even in the bible it’s has verses about the harm mere words can cause. What if someone decided to violently assault that man at the “ suggestion” of this idiot preacher. Like Dylann Root took the suggestive racist rhetoric of Trump and murdered 9 people who were just minding their own business .

Not a Bolton fan, but that was more for his foreign policy than possible testimony. Having said that, a pastor putting out a statement like that is baffling.

His Twitter seems to be all about politics as well.

As far as I know he learned from each one of them, do you know better than tht? Did any of you learn many of those could be Trumped up nothings? I mean after what's been happening since the election, I would hope so.

7X70.

You all are making far too much out of the OP, it's just another way to get back at Trump, and if you can't see that, I think there is a group for that. Maybe they can help you get over all that hate/meanness, but in the mean time I'd suggest getting a little forgiveness of your own and don't worry so much about Trumps sins.

The Atheists, meh, but the Christians that are beating on Trump as you have been, I don't think you have the slightest idea how that looks to the big guy.

"Anyone" refers to all people and I can't answer for all people.

These comebacks of yours get more nonsensical with time.

Since when has God (assuming that you meant Him) been a respecter of any person, let alone Donald?

Do you, know he hasn't repented?
I am quite certain. He's explicitly said he has not sought forgiveness from God.

Regarding forgiveness from the people he's harmed, that would be incredibly newsworthy and I think we'd all have heard about it.

Can you if nothing else answer for yourself?

Out of all that, you never got my point? How would I know? That's between him and God, ask them. What did you think you had there, a real stumpier or something, or are some of your posts only designed to waste time?
