We had a special afternoon service to install a few elders and the pastor! Ruling elders came down from Tucson and afterwards we had our celebration. This is new to us still, but they had period food from the Renaissance I presume. Like drumsticks, vegetable porridge that looked like sweet potatoes (maybe it was).
The games were like knocking down Roman Catholic bibles. The kids got points for the games and got to redeem them for some small prizes. Some people dressed in costumes, some were really good! Gives me time to think of my costume next year!
Question; do PCA-ers believe in Halloween? I made a comment on this girl's beautiful dress and asked her if she was going to wear it Halloween? She said no. She was a college age student and the pastor's daughter.
I mean I'm not really into it or anything, but employees are dressing up for ex.
