Some men ... and women, particularly with sons, perceive the demand for more female respect (i.e. less sexual harassment) ... as a restriction upon past male freedoms.
I don't know if you had heard, but a mother of a US serviceman posted a tweet recently which stated that her "wonderful" son was now averse to dating and to being alone with single women, ... because he was afraid of what he might be accused of.
Turn out ... her son is pretty "wonderful", ... because when he heard what his mother had tweeted, ... he disavowed it with his own tweet, saying that he believed that women deserved respect ... and that he was totally on-board with giving that respect to them.
