I came across the last email I had from Allan,
"How are you?" (GH) "Good and bad. I'm hoping to get on that transplant waiting list in short order, somehow, but until Medicaid changes their mind and decides to pay for it, or I raise $500,000, I'm stuck. Apparently, government regulations prohibit people from being added to that waiting list until they can foot the entire bill. And, of course, I'm not getting any healthier the longer I wait..."

The Bush-ite Medicaid is sort of like the Bush-ite FEMA response, neh?

Bush will know the Jehovah is the Lord our God when He strikes His vengence upon him.

Peace.

I'm not sure why, but this post made me laugh out loud. Not LOL--really laugh.

Thank you. I needed that .

"the Shroud of Turin is the evidence you seek that proves that His Son was born as a man, existed as a man, lived as a man, was tempted as a man, was tried as a man, was convicted as a man, was crucified as a man, was buried as a man, and resurrected as God Almighty."

Duane Morse, Bibleforums.org [Comments (10)]

The analysis of the Turin shroud shows that it is more or less an X-ray of a human being, given that the images of the bones and teeth of the body imprinted on the shroud. One actual hypothesis is that in the resurrection of Christ, when His body transformed from that of the flesh to a spiritual being, it caused a light so great that would have imprinted such an image.
No one has proposed a better explanation of why an X-ray like image would be on the shroud.

Peace.

Better explanation: It is a painting or rubbing or something similar.

What the Shroud-proponent can not explain:

Why the image has the width-proportions of a painting instead of a cloth draped over a body.

Why the image has grossly elongated limbs.

A painting wouldn't be an x-ray image. Furthermore, there are the imprints of plants on the Shroud that live only in the area where Jesus was crucified.

Peace.

That link gives me an error. But if you can give me a link to the original page, I’m willing to try hosting it on my own domain.

EDIT: It’s working now. But let me know if there’s anything else you’d like me to do; I’m already trying to come up with a poem in his memory.

I wouldn't think this comment necessary, but shouldn't debate occur in a fresh thread rather than a memorial one?

This is an aside, but I thought I'd offer it anyway. I disagreed with virtually everything Anton LeVay stood for, but when he died I had the misfortune of hearing about it on Bob Larson's (now defunct?) radio show. It solidified by opinion of grave dancers to the point where when I'd hear about the deaths of Pol Pot and Uday and Qusay I predicated my profanity laced references to them with "rest in peace."

When people responsible for suffering die, I still think it's wrong to dance on their graves. When good people, who I disagreed with die, I mourn for them just as I would family, friends or strangers with a sad or compelling story behind their demise.
