Ouija Boards

Someone I know made a thread on another forum and said she'd do ouijas for people and someone said to never touch them and she doesn't think they are bad.

So could someone give me some info on why they are bad so I can show her? She says shes a Christian but she used tarot cards and junk like that.

I just want to back up people on it and show everyone who thinks its okay that its really...not...

Our faith is strongand can be used as a catalyst to make them evil. people think they are door ways to the spirit releam they are not. but it is us who can communicate with demons and in almost the same way that we pray to God.
the bible states we should not contact the dead it does not state we can't.

because even Saul contacted Samuel and was rebuked by him still. and the person that helped him feared for their life. (Saul later died in battle)

My stance i wouldnt reccomend duing either and as a matter of fact to burn them so no one else would be tempted to use those items.

I'm in total agreement with E_Powers. I used to mess with the cards and the board out of ignornace. I experienced some scary spiritual manifestations as well.

Best advice to give them is to STAY AWAY.

People think it's just a game and they don't take it serious. Well as someone who's been down that road, I can tell you it's more than a game, it's a trap set by the enemy to lure you and your spirit into abomination. If you dabble in the occult, you leave yourself open to demonic oppression. No, I'm not saying that it can only be dabbled with using a tangible vehicle like the card/boards. It's a matter of who and what are you placing your faith in.

They are tools used for a form of communicating fortune-telling and that is going against God.

Ouija boards, tarot cards and other fortune telling devices are not appropriate for Christians for several reasons. The Bible says it is bad in several places. One that comes to mind is Isaiah 47:8-14. Fortune telling is part of many pagan religions.


But beyond all that is the fact God wants us to trust in Him and His plan and not to trust in the occult or fortune telling.

Im not going to bother debating that ouija boards are real or not, open mindedness is a virtue many christians wont accept. The bible implies not to deal with familiar spirits(the kjv translation of demons) chron33:6. there are many other verses but i just used a random one, others talk against channeling. So why does God say not to do that stuff? he calls it an abombination, look at the whole principal of the ouja board, the demons move through you and move the pallete thing, why does he tell us not to channel? There are various forms of possession, doing a ouja board once can(not just a can, will) get you possessed to a very small degree, the mroe you do them, the more possessed you get. The demons wont necessarily let you know your possessed at first, even with a small degree of possession, your personality can still be influenced. they might let the illusion of you talking to dead people continue until your so possessed that they can take your body, and then no one else would know the difference. in the bible it says the anointment of God, the holy spirit, gives us the ability to detect evil spirits. That is why i conclude(and many other reasons) that most of us do not have the holy spirit. But that the anointment of God is extremely valuble and that we are all underestimating the amount of work it would take to attain. Im not saying their are rules to how God works and the spiritual gifts he bestowes us with, becas paul plainly said that everyone has different spiritual gifts. But that we cant just live our lives, goto church, pay our tithes, and pray when we eat and expect to have anything whatsoever spiritual from God. We need to be focused on him all the time, thinking about him, basing our character on jesus, and glorifying him every time we get. Worship of God isnt going to church and singing praise songs, im sure God would rather have us miss 150 sabbaths than ignore the guy with the "will work for food" sign on the side of the street. We need to worship God with our actions, he is the only purpose in any of this.

Well despite your poor spelling and grammer, your point is well taken. I had a friend who did Ouija boards ended up haunting his house. God wants us to trust Him rather than fotune tellers.

Like I said in a earlier post, been there, done that. It's not a game - you open yourself up to demonic oppression/possession. Please, please, please trust God and leave the board, cards, etc alone.

The mindset of it's just a game, you take things to serious, and thought similar are just traps set up by the enemy to steal, kill and destroy. He will go to any extreme using anyone or anything to pervert/corrupt your gifts, anointing and spirit.

Tell her what you've learned about it and that they need to leave it alone. No matter what they say to you or about you do not participate. If they refuse to listen to you, leave the room and I would re-think spending the night.
