OT: Travel Prayer Request

Well, the time is finally coming where I get to leave Monterey, CA for the East Coast! But, I get to spend about two months in Texas first

It is sad to leave, but Fr G. here has blessed the car, so once I finish packing the car, and finish some admin things in the morning I'll be off! I'm leaving tomorrow on Thursday April 1; no it is not a joke, so please pray for a safe trip. I'm not worried about covid, I'll be getting vaccinated there with the Pfizer vaccine, but I am more worried about the other drivers.

A friend of mine in Chicago had Moderna and experienced some mild side effects, but he has side effects from all vaccinations so no biggy. Both Pfizer and Moderna use very similar technology and have equal effectiveness according to their Phase 3 clinical trials.

It's amazing how fast they are vaccinating in this country, already 15% of the nation has had both doses of either Moderna or Pfizer. And with the one-shot Johnson & Johnson now approved for use, it should progress quickly. It'll be interesting to see how quickly it suppresses rates of new infection.
