Perhaps I shouldn't ask, guess I'm naive, but what is this reference to "cats?"
Do we actually have any debate started yet on any topic? Perhaps the moderators can start one just so we know what to do, as the guidelines seem so confusing.

I'm gonna smear him. It doesn't appear that he has any scientific evidence which shows the superiority of cats over dogs. Since I have scientific proof showing that not only are cats dangerous to select demographic groups (pregnant women), but that dogs are also capable of detecting certain types of cancers, I'm sure to smash my opponents argument to smithereens.

Yes, have you ever been in a cancer ward? Most cancer patients are terribly constipated, hence things are brewing down under and they do stink. You have to have a strong nurse to be in that ward.
Naturopaths recommend eating lots of fruits and veggies to keep things moving but if a person hasn't had a BM in a week or two, something is rotten in Denmark!
Dogs can always smell something rotten because they will eat rotten flesh and even excretion, but cats are are very discerning eaters.

Dogs are not allowed in Orthodox Temples, cats are. The conclusion is that cats must be a holier animal if nothing else than dogs.

Seriously several Orthodox Priests said that they leave the doors open so that cats can come in and patrol for mice, rats, and lizards that sometimes come in. Cats will even eat cockroaches. So they are pretty good at keeping the messy critters out.
However, they don't like them in the sanctuary when the Divine Liturgy is in progress because cats have the habit of always being "under foot." We don't want anyone to trip now do we?

NYJ do not forget that some dogs can be used to facilitate law enforcement in k-9 units, sniffing out drugs and keeping the streets safer for our children. Does anyone remember the story about the cat that was trained to sniff fish? It seems that people were smuggling fish and the authorities found that cats were better than dogs in sniffing out the hidden fish.
