  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was just wondering if there is anyone else on here that does origami. I love it and have made so many things over the last few years. I got an origami nativity book and I want to work on making that for next year. I have a tesselations book on order and should get that soon. I finally worked out this vw bettle and it looks pretty cool.

Hi nice to met someone else who shares my interest. The christmas nativity scene is in this book - apparently my post counts not high enough to put links in so search for The first christmas in origami by Geneva Cobb Iijima. It's not all from squares but i still think it's pretty cool. What do you enjoy folding?

I enjoy folding just about anything. I've made ninja stars, pinwheels, sampans, boxes, swans, flapping birds, tulips, dinosaurs, and I'm on my way to making a nice display of deep blue and yellow peace cranes, I've got 271 and I'm making 1000. What do you enjoy folding?
