  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

King of Spain - Moxy Früvous

Once I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
Oh... my unspeakable wife, Queen Lisa, now I eat humble pie
I'm telling you I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
And now I work at the Pizza Pizza

1 2 3 4!

Royalty, lord it looked good on me
Buried in silk in the royal boudoir or going nuclear free
Or playing Crokinole with the Princess of Monaco
Telling my jokes to the OPEC leaders, getting it all on video

Once I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
A palatial palace, that was my home, now I eat humble pie
I'm telling you I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
And now I vacuum the turf at SkyDome
Once he was the King of Spain

I can't wait, I'm lowering interest rates, my people say:
"King, how are you such a genius?
There's a roof overhead
and food on our plates!"

It's laissez-faire, I don't even give a care
Let's make Friday part of the weekend
And give every new baby a chocolate eclair

Once I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
Hey Clinton! Hey Yeltsin! Got problems?
You phone me, now I eat humble pie
I'm telling you I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
Now the Leafs call me up to drive the Zamboni
Once he was the King of Spain

Ladies and Gentlemen, I introduce to you the international orchestra!

Now some of you might be wondering how I came to be living in Canada
after being royalty in Spain. Should I tell them, guys?
Tell us, King!

You see late one night when the palace was asleep
Out of my royal chambers and into the garden I creep
And I wait till the appointed time, when the moon is lighting the pitch
At which point my peasant friend, who looks just like me
Arrives and we make switch!
(gasp)

Prince and pauper, junior and whopper
World made up of silver and copper
Under my own volition, I took a change of position
So next time you drool in the pizza line
Remember, slower pizza's more luscious
The King of Spain never rushes!!!

Once I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
I was lookin' for off-handed ways to improve us, now I eat humble pie
I'm telling you I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
And now I'm jamming with Moxy Fruvous!

Once he was the King of Spain

My Music @ Work - The Tragically Hip

Everything is bleak.
It's the middle of the night.
You're all alone and
the dummies might be right.
You feel like a jerk.
My music at work.
My music at work.

Avoid trends and cliches.
Don't try to be up to date.
And when the sunlight hits the olive-oil,
don't hesitate.
The night's so long it hurts
My music at work.

In a symbol too far
or the anatomy of a stain;
to determine where you are,
in a sink full of Ganges, I'd remain -
No matter what you heard
in my music at work.
My music at work.
My music at work.

I call it, 'Olga Waits;
The Cloud That Entertains
The Dim Possibility of
Showing Some Restraint.'
The rain came down berserk.
My music at work.
My music at work.

On a star beyond the chart
or the dark side of a drop of rain.
determining where you are,
in a sink full of Ganges, I remain -
No matter what you heard.
My music at work.
My music at work.
My music at work.

La-la-la-la-la-la.
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
La-la-la-la-la-la.
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.

Everythng is bleak.
It's the middle of the night.
You're all alone and
the dummies might be right.
Outside, the darkness lurks.
My music at work.
My music at work.

Hey fallen hummingbird,
my music at work.
From the middle of the earth,
my music at work.
Bound for bed without dessert,
my music at work.
My music at work.
My music at work.

Like my FAV. Song:

Evanescence - Tourniquet said:
I tried to kill the pain
But only brought more so much more
I lay dying
And I'm pouring crimson regret and betrayal
I'm dying dying
Praying praying
Bleeding bleeding
And screaming
Am I too lost to be saved?
Am I too lost?
My God, my tourniquet
Return to me salvation
My God, my tourniquet
Return to me salvation

Do you remember me?
Lost for so long
Will you be on the other side?
Will you forget me?
I'm dying dying
Praying praying
Bleeding bleeding
And screaming
Am I too lost to be saved?
Am I too lost?
My God, my tourniquet
Return to me salvation
My God, my tourniquet
Return to me salvation
Return to me salvation
I want to die

My God, my tourniquet
Return to me salvation
My God, my tourniquet
Return to me salvation
My wounds cry for the grave
My soul cries for deliverance
Will I be denied?
Christ - tourniquet - my suicide

One More Murder

One more murder in this town,
Don't mean a thing just lock your doors
And drive around.

One more murder in this town,
Don't worry the rain will
Wash the chalk marks from the ground.

Saturday night, shots ring out,
Add one to the body count.
You come alive to see another's end.

Plead it to a lesser count,
D.A. says without a doubt,
In 3-5 you're on the street's again.

One more murder in this town.
Don't mean a thing
You get accustomed to the sound.

One more murder in this town.
Block off the street
Wrap the crime scene tape around.

Hosanna! Hosanna!
I can't feel a thing at all!
Hosanna! Hosanna!
I can't feel a thing!
I can't feel a thing at all!

Saturday night you're going out
Parking lot, a figure come about
Feel a piece click against your head.

Pleading to his sympathy,
"Take the car, I got a family"
You hear a laugh,
"It don't mean **** to me."

One more murder in this town.

Inevitability of Death - The Tragically Hip

Puffy lips, glistening skin,
And everything comes rushing in.
We don't go to hell,
the memories of us do.

I get a sense of connectedness.
Exclusive tight but nothing dangerous.
We don't go to hell,
the memories of us do.
And if you go to hell,
I'll still remember you.

But I thought you beat the death of inevitability,
to death just a little bit.
I though you beat the inevitability of death,
to death just a little bit.
But I thought you beat the death of inevitability,
to death just a little bit.
I though you beat the inevitability of death,
to death just a little bit.

Terry's gift is forever green.
It got me up and back on the scene.
We don't go to hell,
just our memories do.

Fantastic gap!
Common space!
Open concept in your smiling face.
We don't go to hell,
the memories of us do.

And if you go to hell,
I'll still remember you
.

Nina Simone - I got life

Ain't got no home, ain't got no shoes
Ain't got no money, ain't got no class
Ain't got no friends, ain't got no schoolin'
Ain't got no wear, ain't got no job
Ain't got no man

Ain't got no father, ain't got no mother
Ain't got no children, ain't got no
Ain't got no earth, ain't got no water
Ain't got no ticket, ain't got no token
Ain't got no love

What have I got?
Why am I alive anyway?
Yeah, what have I got?
Nobody can take away

I got my hair, I got my head
I got my brains, I got my ears
I got my eyes, I got my nose
I got my mouth, I got my smile

I got my tongue, I got my chin
I got my neck,
I got my heart, I got my soul
I got my back,

I got my arms, I got my hands
I got my fingers, Got my legs
I got my feet, I got my toes
I got my liver, Got my blood

Got life , I got my life

I posted here a loooooing time ago ;) But I have an update

I listen to Shoutcast Radio through Winamp...to a station called Calmscape.

It's Lounge / Downtempo music, and it's just awesome! Perfect for a high stress working environment.

When I am at my desk, and I listen to the music from Calmscape, I envision myself sitting at a little round table, right on the beach, sipping a drink, or maybe smoking a nice cigar. A stunning yellow-orange sunset sky is my backdrop, our Lord being very creative that day. A few seagulls are squaking in the distance....a few people strolling down the beach, the waves slowly rolling onto the shore. This music playing over the sound system of the cafe...and I just stare off into the distance...
Hmmmm...nice
