oh did you guys know I havent been sick in almost a year?

I have a secret...well it's not really a secret cuz I've been telling everyone about it, but it really works...

It's a little machine I use called a "zapper"

You use it for lots of things but I have mostly used it when ever I felt a little cold or flu come on and every time since last December it was worked for me and my whole family....We havent ever been sick for all that time:clap:

You can see the concept of what it does right here...
They only cost a few $$ to make from basic hardware parts and a few electrical components....

http://www.paradevices.com/zapper_works.html

*Now Tish puts out her thumb just in case she has to block a few pies if anyone decides shes a kook and throws one at her:p:D

That's really interesting. I use herbal remedies when we start coming down with something, and it usually helps. I might have to check this out.

wow really:wave:
I need a cook book or something from you all:)

Here are a couple of links to vegetarian cookbooks that I use all the time:
http://www.adventistbookcenter.com/Detail.tpl?sku=0828008477
http://www.adventistbookcenter.com/Detail.tpl?sku=0828017948

Many of the recipes in these two books have both dairy and non-dairy options. I hardly ever use processed, canned or frozen meat substitutes, which a few of the recipes recommend, because they are not very healthy, but most of these recipes are very good.

And here are some more options:
http://www.adventistbookcenter.com/Browse.tpl?category=COOK&language=ENG SPN FRN

Our family is mostly vegan for health reasons. We eat cheese and eggs occasionally (usually when we go to potlucks or restaurants or to someone's house), but we try to avoid animal products most of the time. I've actually made up a lot of vegan recipes myself although I refer to cookbooks sometimes for ideas. I usually end up revising every recipe I use, though, and I make substitutes for many things in regular recipes (like eggs, for instance).

Vegemite was invented at a beer place from yeast extract. On the back of the vegemite pack it has this story of how vegemite was made:

Vegemite dates back to 1922 when the Fred Walker Company, which became Kraft Walker Foods in 1926 and Kraft Foods Limited in 1950, hired a young chemist to develop a spread from one of the richest known natural sources of the vitamin B group - Brewers Yeast.
Following months of laboratory tests, Dr. Cyril P Callister, who became the nation’s leading food technologist of the 1920s and 30s developed a tasty spreadable paste. It came in a two ounce (57g) amber glass jar capped with a Phoenix seal with the label "Pure Vegetable Extract".
In an imaginative approach, Walker turned to the Australian public to officially name his spread. He conducted a national trade-name competition offering an attractive 50 pound prize pool for the finalists. How the 50 pounds was distributed or who was the winning contestant has unfortunately been lost in history, but it was Walker's daughter who chose the winning name out of the hundreds of entries.
That winning name was Vegemite and in 1923 Vegemite first graced grocers' shelves. It was described as "Delicious on sandwiches and toast, and improves the flavour of soups, stews and gravies". However, it took 14 long years of perseverance from Walker before Vegemite finally gained acceptance and recognition with the Australian people.

I love this machine ,as it works with in a couple of hours....any way I tell people that some day in the end times we may not have access to Doctors and we may be faced with bioattacks from the enemy and this little machine may be needed then....it runs on a 9V battery and the battery lasts for almost a year before it needs to be replaced:wave:

By the way, it's DathEn. Sorry but the amount of people that do that makes it really annoying.

Adventists invented weet-bix, not vegemite, because we don't support alcohol, which was where it was made. Actaully Sanitarium was originally some sort of health centre, that Ellen White started in her 7 years in Aus and NZ. It has now advanced to be what it is today. they're a really well known dominating the Aus food market. As well as cerial they specialise in meat product, but with no meat for example:

Hotdogs
Sausages
Chicken Nuggets
Beef
Schnitzel

That's just naming a few and they're all made form soy products. It's a shame that Sanitarium is only in Australia and NZ, because you would like their stuff. Like I don't like soy milk, but Sanitarium soy milk is the best, though it makes me throw up, it's the best and popular.

At the moment I seem to be sort of addicted to vegemite. There's a story of an American who had some vegemite, he smothered his toast in it, like chocolate. You need to have it in small amounts, Some people have it with butter as it can hurt your tongue. It is definately an interesting tasting substance.

I don't think you can get the whole thing online without subscribing to National Geographic, but here are a couple of links to a summary and some video highlights:

I've never had an opportunity to try Vegemite or Marmite, but the info that I've read says that it's made from yeast byproducts from the beer-brewing industry. They say that it has a very strong and salty taste and that non-Aussies don't usually like it much, especially if they spread it on too thick. I'm guessing that it probably doesn't taste like apple butter. ;)
lol I guess not huh? Well when I do my shopping this week I'm gonna ask at my neighborhood heathfood store and if they dont have it they will order it for me:thumbsup:

I was fascinated by that article Sophia, those people live only 20-30 minutes away from me!

I am terribly sorry to hijack your thread again, but it is the only one I can post in. :)

After a very long Bible Study last night, I came to the conclusion that the Holy Spirit:

1 Corinthians 2:10 - has intellect.

1 Corinthians 2:11 - has a mind.

Ephesians 4:30 - can be grieved.

Acts 16:6 - has a will.

Acts 5:3 - can be lied to.

My main "beef" (make that tofu) with the Trinity is/was the personality of the Spirit (though I suggested in GT that Jesus is not God, that obviously contradicts Scripture).

I recant of my non-Trinitarian view, as little time as I held it.

EDIT: Das, I just noticed your thread. :p

That's fine; this thread has many topics. Besides, you have other posts on this subject in this thread, so why not this one? ;)
