I like to eat my Weet-Bix first, then a slice of bread with Marmite on it.

I guess it really does not matter that much.

One of the reason in prefering Marmote to Vegimite is that Marmite has B12 in it.

Many SDA's do not eat meat and those that do often eat far less meat so we do have to watch our B12 intake.
oh something I didnt know, why do you eat less meat?

Many Adventists are vegetarians for health reasons. In our area, most Adventists do eat meat, however, although Cliff is right that they probably eat less than the general population. My husband and I are about the only vegetarians in our local churches. In some geographical areas, it's more common. Personally, we as a family have chosen to elminate meat from our diets because of the threats of disease, growth hormones, antibiotics, etc., that are in meat.

yeh your right we are playing with our lives at times when we consume these potentially hazardous things...I'm such a meat lover though, how would I begin to cut down?

I shudder at the mention of vegemite. :p

That stuff is just sick. The person who made that stuff is a bane to humanity. :)

Are you serious? lol

Yeah, I read that article about the longevity of Adventists!
is it something I can get on line and read?

oh did you guys know I havent been sick in almost a year?

I have a secret...well it's not really a secret cuz I've been telling everyone about it, but it really works...

It's a little machine I use called a "zapper"

You use it for lots of things but I have mostly used it when ever I felt a little cold or flu come on and every time since last December it was worked for me and my whole family....We havent ever been sick for all that time:clap:

You can see the concept of what it does right here...
They only cost a few $$ to make from basic hardware parts and a few electrical components....

http://www.paradevices.com/zapper_works.html

*Now Tish puts out her thumb just in case she has to block a few pies if anyone decides shes a kook and throws one at her:p:D

I don't think you can get the whole thing online without subscribing to National Geographic, but here are a couple of links to a summary and some video highlights:
http://www7.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/0511/feature1/
http://www7.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/0511/sights_n_sounds/index.html

Also, here is an Adventist News Network article that talks about it and mentions the new health study that we are doing currently:

I've never had an opportunity to try Vegemite or Marmite, but the info that I've read says that it's made from yeast byproducts from the beer-brewing industry. They say that it has a very strong and salty taste and that non-Aussies don't usually like it much, especially if they spread it on too thick. I'm guessing that it probably doesn't taste like apple butter. ;)
