CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Wow. Been kinda quiet in here lately. Guess you must all be busy getting ready for Christmas.
I will try and look in again before Christmas, but in case I don't get the chance, I would like to take this opportunity to with all my Methodist brothers and sisters a really happy and blessed Christmas.

Spent part of this morning helping my husband get ready for a yearly tradition. He is a MacTools salesman (sells tools to mechanics at garages from a big truck) and for the past few years, the week before Christmas he stocks up on cookies, candy and fruit, decorates the inside of the truck, puts on a Santa hat and some Christmas music and invites his customers to his mobile Christmas party. It has become something the guys look forward to each year--esp in this day and age when everyone is out to make a buck, here's a salesman giving stuff away. Yes, in the end it may be good for business, but for this week it is just fun.
On Friday another tradition in our house arrived--CHEESE CURD!!!! My sister knows I love it and can't get it here, so she has a couple pounds shipped down every year from a place in NY. Yummy!!!
